Need help.

<div class="IPBDescription">Getting lag at a certain point.</div>When I was playing on the NS_SUMMIT map whenever I fired my marine rifle my FPS would drop down to 10 and would be unplayable. After I finish firing my FPS would then return to its normal state of 40-50 FPS. It is fine with any other weapon just the rifle. When others fire their rifle my FPS drops slightly down to about 20-25 FPS.

My system specs:

Processor - <b>i3</b>
Motherboard - <b>H55m-S</b>
Ram - <b>2gb</b> (not sure what it is)
Operating System - <b>Windows XP</b>
Graphics card - <b>8800 GTS 512mb</b>

[Edit:] This doesn't happen on Rockdown and Tram.

    that is a known optimization problem with particle systems, which will be fixed at some point. I hope soon :) But it seems it does not impact all computers the same

    Papayas, load up ns2 again, make the problem happen, then go to:

    C:\Users\YourUserNameHere\AppData\Roaming\Natural Selection 2\log.txt

    Open that up and post up here any warnings errors. Bear in mind that every time you launch NS2.exe it wipes the log.txt, so might be an idea to save it somewhere.

    Particle system for the rifle and power nodes kill my FPS as well. normally @ 25-40 and firing it goes down to 10-15
