02mins:18secs onwards was freaking epic towards the end seeing the horde of Kharaa making their way to the troubled Marines. Also liked the Blink at 02:12. Nice video, glad to have something out there showing what NS2 is to the new potential customers.

You're telling me the first few scenes in the marine start in Tram weren't bots? They just sat there and didn't move while the guy got in the com chair. It looked like only one player (the one they zoomed into) was actually a real player.
yeh we where stood still the one stood next to the station was me, i did look around but all that was out of frame then me moving away was out of frame. Start of game eveyone was waiting for comm orders and to build the base but that didnt get shown, only the MAC building the RT was in. dunno why we didnt have the base building bits in.
Camm zoom was down on me running out the base with everyone else.

All that was hosted on unknown worlds server off the pacific coast with upto 12 players from different parts of the world. NS2 being in Austrailia and me being opposite end of the world in the UK, it was very smooth. There where no server bots at all, they where guys from the office and beta team

Haha nope, no bots used at all, all players must have just been very chilled during that scene! There were only two cinematic editor shots in the entire trailer, the rest is live gameplay often shot from multiple perspectives.

Perhaps they should've added a small disclaimer, like most companies do, stating something along the lines of "Experiences may vary." and/or "Beta is not a total reflection of the final product". Of course, if they do that at the Buy stage, then it doesn't matter as much.
Having said that, great trailer, although I did see one scene which looked like it was stuttering, and I thought to myself "Can't accuse them of glossing over the faults of the current beta now huh?"
Jesus christ, this game is going to be ###### phenomenal. Even the god damn forums are looking 10x better than before. The login/posting system is more advanced than battle.net's. Just think of what this'll be like in ~6 months time when it all comes to fruition and the masses start rolling in.

This is really all they need. Plus, you can make the argument that there is an implicit understanding about what a beta product is.

Having the disclaimer somewhere in gameplay videos is professional and standard. Trailers are commonly acknowledged as bending the truth somewhat.

It's certainly not standard. Nothing about UWE's business model is standard; selling access to an unreleased product is without a lot of precedent. Having the disclaimer on the purchase page seems reasonable. Trailers are meant to drum up excitement while at the same time showcasing how a game works. Putting fine print at the end of the trailer would kind of ruin the punch.
