well presented. Just what it really is, visual chaos. But the comments have me also wondering if there will be a category for all the new RTS/FPS games because this isdefinably a game of it's own genre.
That is a bad ass trailer! If I didn't buy it already I sure would now.

Game don't have to be ready for a teaser trailer to be released. Just cause it's still in Beta and not fully playable doesn't mean you shouldn't make the public aware of it and it's possibilites when it is finished.

Everything in that trailer is actually happening in-game on a regular basis. Granted, I'm mostly playing on tram (love this map, lockable doors, proper ground control et all), but until black-screen issues start appearing, the game is pretty much as presented.

The scene at the end was just epic! You can just see that marine turn and see the 5 skulks+lerk coming at him and saying "oh $hit!!". Really awesome vid.

I hope UWE is not desperate enough for money that they need to do stuff like this :/
I don't know what you guys are whining about. The smoothness of gameplay has improved tenfold over the last few patches. Right now I have no problem at all finding a playable server and playing exactly as I would expect a beta to play -- more or less smoothly, but with some hitches. Also, they're releasing a patch pretty much weekly now. Things are looking up.
"Ooh, we’ve got the first official game footage trailer from the Natural Selection 2 beta! The hybrid RTS-FPS multiplayer sequel is in pre-order-based beta at the moment, where it is being tweaked and honed and squeezed into shape by the testers and developers alike."

exactly my thoughts.
This trailer is mind blowing. Hope a youtube HD version comes soon so i can get this into a youtubeloop website and have it in my background at all time. (the soundtrack also rocks.)
Thanks guys. Just want to point out that most of the footage is recorded from pub games, on a variety of machines. So, while everyone's playing experience may not be the same, this trailer is a pretty honest and straightforward presentation of the game.

And yup, Kouji, new map.

I'd been meaning to compliment you guys on the honesty of the gameplay footage. Thumps up :)

Great video. But the first minute looks pretty dull as you are obviously using marine bots. How choreographed was that last scene? Really awesome with so much detail (lerk, skulk on the column, gorge animation at just the right time, etc).
I was the poor gorge that got naded, was pretty awsome that the ragdoll did a cool looking back flip. A lot of that footage was just a streak of good luck with the way for example i just so happend to fly past NS2HD as the lerk so close to his screen while he was in spectator mode recording. All that was hosted on unknown worlds server off the pacific coast with upto 12 players from different parts of the world. NS2 being in Austrailia and me being opposite end of the world in the UK, it was very smooth. There where no server bots at all, they where guys from the office and beta team

The fade looks amazingly badass without the lag.
If you can get it to play as good as that video makes it look, you will have a masterpiece.

Awesome! The new map looks nice. (nice alien area ^^) :D
Man i should preorder know ns2! ^^
