It's funny how 90% of the work has to be done before a game becomes even remotely playable, and then it still looks like crap. The last 10% may actually be minor tasks for the programmers - but they are really important as well, as we can see now. So towards the end, development seems to go so much faster, but that's just because most of the work is already done... Refining 2D elements (HUD) or tweaking weapon damage are such "minor" tasks

actually you couldn't be more wrong. there's this thing called the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareto_principle" target="_blank">Pareto principle, or the 80-20 rule</a>, which seems to pop up all over the place in the world. for example, the richest 20% have 80% of the income, in US healthcare 20% of people use 80% of the healthcare resources, 20% of criminals commit 80% of crimes, and most relevant: Microsoft noted that by fixing the top 20% of the most reported bugs, 80% of the errors and crashes would be eliminated, and I've also read that the last 20% of software development takes 80% of the time.

I'm scared that Dynamic Infestation is going to cause a lot of lag and we won't see for many, many, <i>many</i> months :/
How many players overall are playing this? How many of your customers are currently downloading and playing the product you just sold us? Do you feel the inminent fail UWE? I do. This... "game" will never be as good as NS, it is not even playable. At all. After five years announced and in a "beta" stage still a pile of - ... We are still playing NS every night, and never gets old. Lets face it people, we got trolled. How dare you.
