Display mode: Outline... AGGGH!

Is it me, am I the ONLY person to think that this display mode is the worst thing to ever happen to forums? Why wold I want to click each reply seperately and wait for the entire page to reload to display each reply when I could just scroll down and skim read them all?

Why is this display mode on by default? Am I just unfortunate and it was inherited by me only? Whoever invented Display: Outline needs a shift punch in the stomach... sorry but its that annoying :/ I don't understand why it was added?

Are you talking about the "threaded and flat" display modes. Threaded = a list of links at the bottom of a thread to each post, while flat is simply a long page where each post is visible.

If so, you probably followed a in-link from Google that had the mode querystring set to "threaded". Click the following link and it will be back to normal, which is "flat" (this link is simply linking back to this thread, with the mode reset to "flat")

Or simply use the options button to the topright of a thread. Select the "Display Modes: Standard" option.

The setting is missing from the user control panel I think...
