As an astronomy nerd, Infinity Universe is immensely disappointing. It's almost as bad a depiction of space as Freelancer.
Space doesn't look like that. The same reason you can't see the Milky Way with the naked eye from most civilized places on Earth is the same reason this color-graded garish monstrosity is way too over-the-top. At *least* adjust it for exposure so everywhere I look isn't like drowning in an acid trip. Planetary rings don't consist of giant chunks of rock the size of a city block. This is like the same trope that every asteroid belt in sci-fi is full of giant boulders the size of a city are constantly smashing each other into pieces and there's millions floating very small distances from each other. Over millions / billions of years, they'd all have smashed each other into dust - which is what planetary rings are - utterly tiny ice crystals and dust with the odd chunky rock no bigger than a meter or two. The planetary features are so exaggerated it diminishes the scale of the entire thing immensely.
Look, I'm not saying it needs to be Real Mans Simulator of space, but this was apparently made by someone who has almost no understanding of it at all. If people who are into guns are allowed to get annoyed when games portray them in stupid ways, then I can get annoyed by the fact that we've yet another squandered opportunity for a true galactic-scaled space game and instead opted for the high-school dropout depiction of space.

You're neglecting the possibility that the ship is actually really really tiny. So tiny that the dust motes in the ring appear massive.
Bet you hadn't considered that. Dunceo.
