I still get these weird messages in my email :(

Now I am sorry if this flags or shows up some weird way in your forums, seriously I am sorry if this causes any problems, but I keep getting this frikin email. It is showing up with the exact same email address that the legit ones come from, so if I block the address then I am blocking these forums for good. Has this problem been addressed? If so, how do I fix it? If not, do I contact the FBI, CIA, NSA, DOD, NCIS, KGB, GI Jane? What the heck is up with this? Sorry for any problems this may cause, but if it's a quick fix then thank you!!!

*And FYI, no I have not clicked on the butttsex.ru link or whatever it is. Im afraid monsters will eat me :(

You can subscribe to a forum and/or thread.
Which will send you an e-mail when new posts are made.

Do you have anything in there? If so, remove the subscription to the forum.
Means you won't get any e-mails saying "new thread" posted etc. at all.

Nothing can be done about getting e-mailed when the spammers post unfortunately.

OK, I unsub. to the 3 in there. Now if I re-sub to any new threads will it start sending me SPAM again? I mean, is the NS forums somehow hijacked so if you subscribe to anything you will start gettin the messages again? I don't mind using bookmarks I guess and checking stuff every few days, but it's kinda nice when you get emails telling you of a new response. :D

You were subscribed to the Tech Support forum. Hence, when a spam topic was posted in that forum you received an email about it.

That's the way the subscription function is supposed to work. You receive an email whenever anyone posts a topic in that forum. That time it happened to be a spam topic.

What he isn't catching on to (and I had posted but poofed during the roll back :P) is that those were all threads that were started and then removed before he saw them in the forum (I saw all of them).
