Now that spark is released
To try and keep the already busy general discussion forum for NS2 from overflowing itself... Don't you guys think it's time for a true Natural Selection 2 Creation subsection, with similar subforums, only NS2 based?

Not yet, but in a bit, yes. NS2 Gen Disc was not being used for much of anything right now, so call the it the editor sub forum for now. :P

Please, no! The NS2 General Discussion forums will benefit from the added editor-related traffic regardless of their integration. You're only hurting the mappers by not giving us our own sub-forums, and it's a click of a button away.

Well I guess if you guys want to have to search through several pages to collate information on how UWE's tools are faring, what people are creating and general feedback, then it's your choice. But having everything lumped into one forum is going to get confusing, spammy, bloated and aggravating.

If you don't have enough hands to look after a subforum, just ask for help. I'm sure there are plenty of people who would be happy to moderate the forum to keep it informative, helpful and friendly.

Well I filled in this hole with my NS2 development site NS2.Devs :P

Posting in support of an NS2 Creation section. All "General Discussion" in GD has stopped and all discussion is pointed towards the map editor. It's stifling regular discussion about the game and isn't doing much to support the mapping community either.

    Ca'mooonnnnnn

    How about now? :D

I mean there are already two map development threads and post your screenshots thread that is overflowing nicely and lots of tipsNtricks questions and stuff. And there is plenty of "general discussion" going on at the moment. And of course the epic UWE news post threads. Cmon you guys know you want to have a nice subforum with a ye olde mapping faq and help sections and such...

On a sidenote! I'm already briefing my minions on another cookiejar related mission, but don't tell anyone >_>

Indeed, now seems too soon, but in due time it would be good to see a new thread come alive for those who want to show their love for ns2 with macaroni and glitter..

I think this is a good idea.

Some people (like me) check the forums more than the main UWE or NS / NS2 sites. For instance if I had seen an NS2 Creation forum I would have known about pre-ordering sooner. Since I never check the other sites and since I rarely visit the NS General Discussion forum I had no idea.

I think it would be good for the community. If not now then definitely once an Alpha is released.

    Cheers,
