Also we have to put up with relatively small monthly download cap... However a lot of our ISP's offer steam content usage for free. Does the UWE website come under steam content? No... In case we haven't mentioned it already in this thread sigh.
So yeah... I will be waiting for the steam version unless they clearly state 100% we can download the game entirely off steam.

IE: Internode / Bigpond / EGN / Exetel (do they have a filemirror?) / iiNet / <insert other ISPs file mirror/s>. Assuming no limitation on hosting the installer files (one would hope not) and just cd-key tied to accounts limiting access.
Keep in mind new content released on Steam isn't always on Aussie based content servers straight up (unfortunately) I think there are some situations the files are never even distributed outside a few central content servers for whatever the agreement reason is.

I've got some fairly random games on steam that have all been downloaded through my ISP's content servers. I guess we can just hope that is the case with NS2 whenever it is released :)
If UWE confirm that after the initial game download we can transfer the UWE site copy onto steam I will consider saving some gigs for it.
