Old school player here, delighted to see the development of NS2 has continued wonderfully. Very excited about trying NS2, but in the meantime, i shall return to the original and remind myself of the game which occupied my free time for years of my life.
What kind of differences are there going to be between steam and non-steam version of the game? Are we any closer to getting dates on the release of the alpha version, or the final version etc. Will the pre order be available for a certain time period, or until the official release. You really should of put alot more info on the pre-order page. This whole releasing info, bit by bit, gets old fast.

The trailer convinced me to pre-order the special edition! Thanks NS2 dev team the game looks kick ass. Hearing the marine call to his commander that he's standing by felt exciting. Everything presented in the teaser was professional looking game. NS2 looks to be a huge leap from the original mod and I can't wait to install the alpha.

honestly, I had been waiting for this moment for so long. Natural Selection had watched me grow and so did I watched Natural selection grow it's way up to NS2.
I was first introduced by my cousine about this NS mod, and I accidentally fell in love with it. Amazing game play, absolutely stunning.
And I am here to give my greatest support to Natural selection, I am a die-hard NS fan, and I have had pre-ordered the special edition straight away.
I would like to thanks all the developers for their hard work, and I tell you what, no matter how the second one looks, no matter how it will be, my heart is with Natural Selection, the money I had paid was for the amazing experience I had from natural selection one and it is a tribute for you, the developers.

The teaser is entirely in game right? i was wondering when the shutters next to the F4 door shuddered, will we be able to see that in-game? or is that dependent on the mapper or is that just special effects?

This is the second game I´m following the development constantly (first one was Oblivion) and I can say proudly, no regrets yet!

I just preordered my SE but I'm a bit concern about the steam version comment on the bottom. Will we be able to link them somehow? looks amazing but will the black marine skin not spoil the game for aliens as you will be darker and able to hide, how about a alien equivalent? Can you toggle the black skin off and on and also are there any pictures of this?

My only complaint is the NS2 logo with the slashes in the metal seem very generic. Especially when X-Men 3 did it and more recently X-men: orgins.
But that's awesome that's my only complaint though.
