<div class="IPBDescription">missing facts in FAQ : internet required !!!!!&#33</div>I am very disappointed in Zen's installation instructions. Today, I baught it for my mother's PC which has no internet connections at all and no Steam. I have received the activation code. But surprise, when I installed it on her PC, starting the game requires to access internet for activation. I cannot find anywhere how to give it the activation code I have received.

The only place where Internet is even mentioned in the FAQ :

What are the system requirements?
You need a PC with mouse and keyboard running Windows, along with 32 megabytes of RAM and 50 megabytes free hard drive space. If you have an internet connection, you will be informed of product updates automatically, but that's not required.

Your FAQ are not telling the truth. The internet is required. The instruction supplied with the game does not mention anything at all about this. It does not mention anything about the activation code.

I did a forum search and found nothing on this problem.

How am I supposed to give it the activation code if her PC does not have internet ? Better yet, why does it need to go to internet if I have the activation code <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/confused-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="???" border="0" alt="confused-fix.gif" />?? Does not make sense !!!!

I am very disappointed.

I went on the site of Trymedia Systems, since they are the one who sent me my activation code. And in their FAQ they say we DO NEED internet. WHY HASN'T THIS BEEN MENTIONED IN YOUR FAQ ? By omitting this information other people will wind up in the same situation, buying a game they cannot use. What do you call this ?

When is an Internet connection required?

Due to our licensing technology functionality, you need an Internet connection to download, install, and license the game. Once the game is activated, you can play offline as long and as often as you want.

Please note that offline play doesn't apply to games that have been specifically designed to be played online such as MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games).

Thank you for your attention. Sorry if I sounded so rough. Not having a good time here due to other things. So I overreacted. Sorry about that.

I STRONGLY recommand you guys change your FAQ to prevent having any problems.

I read your emails. I was just going through the wrong email account. I replied back to you about 5 min ago.

On that company's FAQ, the only thing related to "no internet" is this below. So they are expecting us to have internet or its a no go.

    Error: "No Internet Connection"

If you are receiving an error message that says "No Internect Connection" when you are attempting to activate your game, please check to see if any of these settings on your computer or connection are causing this error:

Download managers: If you are using a Download Manager such as Real One, Download Accelerator Plus, GetRight, or Netscape Smart Download, you will need to disable it. These download managers do not function properly with our software and will interfere with the download, installation, and activation of your product.

Pop-up blockers: Temporarily disable any pop-up Blocker that is currently running on your Web browser until the software has been installed and licensed.

Internet Explorer Security and Privacy Settings:

    1. Launch Internet Explorer.
    2. Click on "Tools" > "Internet Options".
    3. On the "General" tab under the "Temporary Internet Files" section, click "Delete files".
    4. In the dialogue box, check "Delete all offline content" and then click "OK".
    5. On the "Security" tab, move the slider to set the browser security settings to Medium and then click "Apply".
    6. On the "Privacy" tab, move the slider to set the privacy settings to Medium and then click "Apply".
    7. Click "OK" and exit Internet Explorer.

Note: If the activation is successful after performing these steps, you can reset the settings to their previous positions.

Proxy Servers: Our downloads do not work through proxy servers. If you are running Windows 95, 98, Me, 2000, or XP, be sure to update your Internet Explorer settings in Internet Explorer.

    1. Launch Internet Explorer.
    2. Click "Tools" > "Internet Options".
    3. On the "Connections" tab, click "LAN Settings".
    4. Uncheck "Automatically detect proxy settings".
    5. Uncheck "Use a proxy server for your LAN" and then click "OK".
    6. Click "Apply" and then click "OK".
