<div class="IPBDescription">Help Scythe Buy!</div>I'm looking to buy a new wristwatch, as the one I have is an old hand-me-down that loses about a second a day, and the interface is terrible. Changed batteries, still runs slow.
My requirements:
* Small - Face no more than 35mm across,
* Digital ONLY - No analogue hands,
* Glass face - Or something similarly difficult to scratch,
* Entirely metal body - No plastic. Stainless steel, aluminum or titanium preferred,
* Dual time,
* Alarm,
* Countdown timer,
* Stopwatch,
* 24-hour time,
* Glancing at the watchface, without pushing any buttons, should tell me: The time, including hours, minutes and seconds, the day of the month and the day of the week.
* A good backlight - Not a pair of piddling little lights,
* The digits must be sensibly proportioned, not stupidly elongated,
* 100m waterproof,
* Standard-size and configuration to attach a band.
Optionals:
* Having the month displayed as a number would be nice, but not a requirement,
* An electronic compass built-in would be nice too.
Price is not a factor, but I don't want to pay over a grand, let's say.
I CANNOT FIND ANY DAMN THING D:
The closest I can manage is maybe something by <a href="http://www.timex.com/gp/product/B0000TIJ04/sr=1-20/qid=1237772835/ref=sr_1_20/181-5718969-9563018?ie=UTF8&m=A1S5XB33AHYRMX&n=238505011&timexBrand=core" target="_blank">Timex</a> (except this one is huge). I had a watch very similar to <a href="http://www.timex.com/gp/product/B0000TIJ6S/sr=1-24/qid=1237772835/ref=sr_1_24/181-5718969-9563018?ie=UTF8&m=A1S5XB33AHYRMX&n=238505011&timexBrand=core" target="_blank">this</a> one, it was perfect until the little plastic band clips broke.
Halp me, interwebs!

Real men use analogue.
That said, here:

My watch recently ran out of battery, and since I've had it for over ten years and one of the buttons has broken off, I thought I'd get a new one rather than have the battery replaced. My old watch is about 50mm across, how big is that one? I can't seem to find any dimensions on the site.

What's wrong with that one?
This is probably the one i like the most:
<a href="http://www.tokyoflash.com/en/watches/tokyoflash/rogue/" target="_blank">http://www.tokyoflash.com/en/watches/tokyoflash/rogue/</a>
These two are neat but they look cheap:
<a href="http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/watches/5cf4/" target="_blank">http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/watches/5cf4/</a>
<a href="http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/watches/a59a/" target="_blank">http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/watches/a59a/</a>
this one is neat too, albeit a little blocky:
<a href="http://www.tokyoflash.com/en/watches/kisai/sensai/" target="_blank">http://www.tokyoflash.com/en/watches/kisai/sensai/</a>
and this one is pretty plain, but it has a certain style to it:
<a href="http://www.tokyoflash.com/en/watches/nekura/tundra/" target="_blank">http://www.tokyoflash.com/en/watches/nekura/tundra/</a>
My old watch was this one, but it has since broke:
<a href="http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/watches/6a17/" target="_blank">http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/watches/6a17/</a>
So, anyone know any other places I could browse for interesting watches?
Those self winding watches are pretty awesome (expensive, though).
What do you mean by this?

Ah.
*pictures Scythe doing this over and over again*
I've tried wearing watches before but I always end up taking them off subconsciously and lose them somewhere :s
Agreed, although I don't have a cell phone so for me a watch is essential. Most people I know don't have watches, though. They just use their phones.

P.S. inb4 "lol Australia si prison teheheeh"
Can I still say it if I express it more eloquently?
No.

I have <a href="http://www.wengerna.com/commando-chrono-74705" target="_blank">this</a> one myself. It's done me quite well over the past 2 years and is really a gorgeous watch.
They aren't specifically what you asked for in the OP, but if you are really looking for something that will last forever and look hella sharp, I'd go for one of these. Digital watches always struck me as juvenile, just personal preference though.
Begone from this thread, you have proven unworthy of it. You may return once you have repented your sins.
No amount of indiglo will illuminate the empty shell wear your fashion-sense used to be.

Ok, you can make a crack about Australia now.

Tell me, does all your jewelry come from cracker-jack boxes or do you go the extra mile to purchase your formal wear watches from walmart?

I am a man. I don't wear jewellery.

You have not repented, and yet you stand here before me, repeating your sin. Make humble your heart, child, and turn from your sinful ways. Otherwise, do as you were already told and depart from this thread, leaving it to those who actually engage in the subject matter.

Ok, uhh.... Hmmm....
Ah, yeah. Here we go.
*Ahem*
You mentioned in the topic that you want to BUY a wristwatch. Hah! We all know that Australians don't BUY things, what with Australia just being a giant prison and everything.
Yeahhhhhhhhhhh.........
That'll do.

I would have gone with, "How many cigarettes are you willing to spend" because it would at least be semi-on -opic.
I guess that's why Australia has risen to be such a dominant, global power....
