I'll be scheduling some nicer ones for you guys during the week next week probably... If you fill out the survey and it takes you to another page, it worked. If it stays on the same page and red text appears, you didn't fill things out right. In your case, it appears to have worked.

Edit: Well yea, snowboarding (2nd attempt after 1st with resulting concussion). I just assumed a trip of such heading towards snowy mountains were generally considered a skiing trip.

I'm not exactly sure how long we will be running this external... We'll probably have some when you get back, I'm not sure. We still have 3 weeks left in this project.
(Though I was hoping to devote the last 3 or 2 mostly to writing the report)

Nope. 2 Friday, 2 Sunday. Really I only split it into hour chunks to try to make it so people had to commit to less.
It seems these playtests are going to be very packed. I'm going to be putting an announcement on the steam group page, but I will be releasing the installer a little bit later (before the playtest) after I add/fix a few things. During the playtest Chris, Matt, and I will be in "spectator god mode" (if I can add this in properly), and we will all also be in the steam group's chatroom.
Hopefully this will be fun / not a total catastrophe. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
If we have lots of people waiting to get in a server we might throw up another server just so that those people can experience it, though we won't be able to moderate. (Only 3 of us, after all.)
Ended up as part of the guinea pig batch, so we didn't get to screw around with modifying settings (turn down Survivor speed). Oh well.
There's definitely plenty of room for improvement. Can't wait to see what happens when you guys fix more kinks. I'll see if I can hit it up Sunday as well.

We didn't really have time to prepare for this because we had to give a presentation to at a trustee's dinner the night before. Sunday's should go a bit smoother. (I hope)
You sounded like you were having some fun though.
I might try to implement a jump limiter by Sunday, and move around some statues to make people less inclined to go to the little camp spots they were using.
Funny thing... We made it so that the statues will fade out to opacity 0 at about 1600 units. Nobody noticed. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" /> (This is a good thing, and we needed to do it so that this map was playable despite the long sight distances)

Major things are brewin' though. We've got sounds working in the dev build, so you will be able to hear the ghosties scream. Over this week I'm also planning on trying to change the mortal models to HL2 rebels rather than CS terrorists... Gem: I'll be sure to post it on here next time. There will probably only be 1 or 2 more though.
Hehe, having 5 and more statues close in at you and all the time those wailing screams around you makes for a good time <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
Overall its a pretty fun concept, that just needs some more content to be a worthy mod.
3-4 Different ghost/statue types. 2-3 Player and 1 Weapon model A few sounds and some minor fixes.
