You might just as well use "E" to go back into ghost mode, if you have enough distance to survivors or fall down somewhere (you can die to falls in ghost mode :/).
On a strangely un-discussed note, where the hell are those 10 NEW weapons they promised at end of demo? Apparently we were wrong, they meant the total amount of weapons already available, in some bizarre way of advertising.

That's quite a stretch though, isn't it? The game even features a NEW 3D engine. Namely, it now fully utilises the third dimension, unlike for instance Wolfenstein 3D.

Regarding the characters I have no preference either way personally and people seem to be split in the middle between high contrast/low contrast. The only reason I increased the contrast more was to try and simulate a moon-light effect and help merge them in with the background a bit more whilst still standing out.
Thanks for the offer for the voice acting, I'll ask him but I don't know what his plans are fully. He's currently making the basic level design and is planning on adding all the detail when the SDK is released. He's not that experienced a mapper so for all I know the campaign could suck but he's really putting everything into it so I'm hoping it'll be good.
Oh, and about the single map thing I know he has plans for at least 3 maps but I don't want to discuss it in too much detail at the moment (don't want to ruin the surprises, the plans aren't finalised etc etc) but there will definitely be level progression.

Not that I'm committed to the idea of using the name (it was just a suggestion after a quick look at thesaurus.com). I just want to point out that there's a subtle punny difference between "Deading" and "Deadening". The closer match to "Wedding" is what's supposed to pull the pun that extra little bit.

I love this game. Versus is awesome as both the infected AND survivors. As the infected you're always working on the perfect ambush, which usually centers around whether or not your boomer is worth a damn and the ensuing battle. As survivors, if you have good teammates, it's constant chatter over the mic, "KEEPING IT TIGHT," and moving forward as fast as possible to get to the end.
I had a game where our team got absolutely trounced within the first five minutes, and only two were left -- Myself (Louis) and Francis. I've never played a more exhilarating game than that day, and we managed to barely win against the infected as 2v4 in the most tooth and nail fighting I've ever seen in L4D. There was a time we were both pinned to the ground in the basement of a farm house (not the finale), a hunter on Francis and Louis just...down, getting his ass kicked by zombies. I shoot the hunter off of Francis, he pulls himself back to his feet, chucks a molotov to cover the doorway, pulls me up, and we both limp to the top floor where we find (unbeknown to us, we'd never really played this map much) a room with windows lining the sides and one door as the entrance along with ammo, med kits and some additional equipment. We shuffle in, shut the door, and begin to patch ourselves up as the remaining horde climbs up the side of the house by the windows and thrashes against the door. JUST as we finish our bandage, the zombies pour through the door (and a few trickle through the window). We hold them off for a bit, and start looking for a quick way out, find it, and limp towards the bridge where the safe car is (second to last level on Blood Harvest by the way).
We make it to the bridge, fighting off hunters, smokers, boomers and the occasional zombo before we see the safehouse. UGH, safety. UNTIL...a tank comes out. AGH. I'm in the yellow, Francis is in the green, and we just stand there, absolutely dumbfounded as what to do:
We don't want to go back to what we just came from. We can't really run forward into the tank...there's very little room to move around him. We're pinned on the bridge with not much time to make a decision.
As the tank closes in Francis and I split in opposite directions. I back peddle and Francis makes a break for the train. The tank gives a little chase to Francis at first before realizing that I was limping, and immediately turns his attention to me. I'm unloading every round I have now, the tank closing fast, Francis having made it to the saferoom -- I'm all alone being backed into an even bigger mess. The tank jacks me in the face.
I go FLYING, and land on the ground at the base of the bridge, far from the safehouse, incapacitated. I pull out my 1911s and begin UNLOADING into this ######, and just as he makes it on top of me, readying for his swing...he drops to his knees and falls backwards, dead.
HELP, I'M STILL ALIVE, GET OUT HERE AND SAVE ME MAN I scream at my teammate over the mic. Francis pushes open the safehouse door and barrels down the bridge, watching my back as I watch his, advising him of an attacking smoker (who he manages to stuff as the tongue was wrapping him) and a hunter. Just as he closes on top of me, a hunter attacks from the front. He uses a well timed melee, knocks the hunter out of mid air and shoots him. Another lands on top of me (*!#^!*#) and starts tearing MY ass up, but Francis knocks him off and guns him down as well. Then a third hunter leaps on top of Francis' back, pinning him to the ground, but I shoot him off. Francis is in the yellow now.
As he's helping me up...
A boomer comes and vomits ALL OVER me. As he runs forward Francis shoves the thing back, shoots it and manages to stay clean.
"Just GO man. I'll HOLD THEM OFF."
I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO SAY THAT.
I slide two fresh magazines into my pistols and turn my attention towards the oncoming, massive horde as Francis turns heel and starts limping towards the safehouse. I'm quickly consumed, and now it's down to Francis, in yellow health, limping towards the car, a giant horde of zombies rapidly closing in on his heels...that, and you can HEAR the hunters behind him jumping forward in a frantic motion to catch up (not being able to spawn in the safe room because he had "line of sight").
Francis gets to the saferoom with the zombies literally within five feet of him, turns around, slams the door in the face of a pouncing hunter.
GOOD GAME. L4D is the best purchase I have ever made ever.

I had the auto shotty (tank buster) and Francis had the M16. He unloaded from afar while I was backpedaling unloading into the tank, aiming for the head of course. I think he might have knocked me back twice and incapacitated me on the second which is what let me put so many rounds into him. Francis stopped shooting by the time I was all the way at the start of the bridge (he was out of line of sight essentially) and I guess by that time we'd done a significant amount of damage to the tank.
As for the sucking, I'm not sure. Maybe they (the infected team) did, maybe they didn't. I can't decide. They managed to eviscerate half our team within the first five minutes, which is a sign of a good team, but failed to stop the RIGHTEOUS HALF the rest of the game (sign of a bad team). I think myself and my partner played very well. I was talking on the mic the entire time directing where we should go and my teammate was following my orders blindly, so we worked really well together, always covering one another's backs, shutting doors, ducking when need be, etc.
Also, because there were only two of us left I think they didn't work together as much, instead hastily throwing themselves at us thinking with only two people that we'd collapse rather quickly.
Doesn't matter in the end because it was ######IN' AWESOME. Never before has a zombie game been so awesome when you and your mate are limping about an abandoned farmhouse, looking for a quick way out AWAY from the horde approaching on the other side. I think the only order my teammate didn't follow was "JUMP OUT THE WINDOW HURRY" and I'm glad he didn't; he found some stairs a few feet away. >_>
But to be fair I was just on the opposite side of the house, looking out over there and saw a giant horde coming our way, so I was pretty much bricking my pants and trying to make a quick decision to get to the saferoom.
