<div class="IPBDescription">release date</div>do you know release date because i want this soo much and i have watched you thing that you have made and i think its coming soon to end maybe not maps but all others like those guns and monitor thing
The usual response to this question is "when it's done", but I don't really like that. It sounds like project is open ended and we're not sure how much work we have left to do or how long it's going to take. In actuality we have a pretty good idea of when we're going to release, but we don't want to announce a date until we're positive we can hit.
So the answer to your question is yes, we do know the release date, but no we're not going to tell you -- sorry! Glad to hear you're looking forward to the game though, we're looking forward to having everyone playing it.

I think it would be nice to release NS2TR in a near future to calm down our impatience <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" /> , doing this people would stop asking all the day when the game is gonna be released and it keep them ocuppied. I don't known if TR is ready to be release at this moment, but I remember Flayra said that it would be out "sooner rather than later ", and well, it has passed almost two years since NS2 first anouncement and we are still waiting for it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />

In business you cant just go looking for funding/project approval with "when its done" as a completion date. There needs to be a project plan with a specific timeline including milestones. Flayra has had an estimated completion date for quite a while but like most projects gaming related or not the completion date can vary a bit at the early stages.
Flayra more than likely updates his investors on a routine basis with his project plan/timeline. Investors are only curious about one thing, what is the turn around rate of their investment.
A list of milestones would give everyone an idea of the bigger picture.
Honestly, for the sake of NS2, the soonest we should know a release date as the consumers is when they have a date they know is fixed by a commitment of the release version that goes to the distributor, which we have been told one avenue will be Steam (It is within the realm of possibility to use other digital distribution means too, correct?)
Any sooner and there is the grim potential for changing release dates and a build up the pre-release hype that I have seen hurt other game releases.
Oh, and I do not consider their sharing with us the tid bits of their development hyping this game too soon, some developers do, but I see it more as an expansion of the gamer's awareness into the process that renders their entertainment possible, in other words, just about everyone looking here is either curious about that process or will learn that games (well, good quality games anyways) are not built in a day.
I relish the day they do give us a date however, as it will soon mean I will be able to show my appreciation for their open discussion and previous mod efforts by purchasing their latest product.

Play it.... or <i>Pay for it</i>
I would be more than glad to do both.
