Thaldy, all I'm saying is that EA's business model for this game depends on people viewing ads. If nobody views the ads, the game will tank and EA isn't going to make any more free games. I don't see how that's sarcastic or how that adds nothing meaningful.

I think he likes
"EA's business model for this game depends on people viewing ads. If nobody views the ads, the game will tank and EA isn't going to make any more free games."
better than
"If you want to torpedo the chances of EA making any more free games, then yeah, everyone could go ahead and block the ads."
How's the website going to be required for playing the game, beyond downloading the game from there? The standard procedure for playing games like these is

launch game

enter server browser

find server

join server.

How is the game going to deviate from that procedure, or where is the site entering that sequence?

I'm not touching this one though. Not more.
Those are functionally equivalent.
lolf, it might be something like the Station launchpad for SOE MMOs, only the Launchpad is the website.
Yes Abra the first one was more likeable however I am with lolfighter. Unless they forcefully make you touch the advertisements to play they won't generate much revenue from what is already a very tiny amount of revenue for them gained through ads. It will never generate enough revenue to cover the cost of the game me thinks.

combine that with (I assume) in game adverts via the score bored/level change displays/etc and there you go, millions of page impressions a day!
now, we also top this all of with a cash store, and tadah! it is a Korean MMO (and they do damn well by them selves)
The question is, can this model of business survive where ever they are offering it? Well, ijji.com does.

Yeah I got the same impression. It could be good, but that trailer almost seems like "we're desperately trying to show you how funny we are; please think we're funny".

It seemed too much like a ham-fisted attempt at being "witty" and "different". It just gives off this feeling of "this trailer was specifically planned out by a committee of people with titles such as 'gaming-community-specialist' or 'new age-PR-specialist' all of whom make 6 figure incomes and spend their days surfining the internet inside the local Starbucks with their Macbook". Maybe Im just cynical and bitter though.

My take on the initial idea for this game: A random Lead designer watched some youtubes of BF1942 stunts and thought, hmm that could be a fun game. Yetl the word could is still in there. With this trailer and released info, I'm still quite unable to judge the game <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />
