The respawn timer is way to long on some occasions.
I love how I can own like 25 people if I position the SG in the right place. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
Something they "may" need to tone down:
Heavys and Medics. (Can be though, but easy to conter with a spy killing the medic or the heavy or both. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />) Dispenser Liferegenrate (Spy helps again really, sapper and it's gone) Spies using sapper... I mean, common, you've used it on my turre(n)t, I removed it, you put it on there again... for like 2 minutes, just cause I can't hit you, when your dancing arround my SG... give it a 2 sec cooldown at least.
What sould be buffed (imho):
Scouts, I tear through them pretty quick, maybe up the double jump a bit..
Well, haven't played that many classes yet but thats what I think of it right now.
I only played for about 15 minutes before work but I think I could definitely get into it. the engy interface is nice - seeing a display of all your deployables so you know their status is rad. the build/destroy menus are a little clunky though IMO. I don't like having to press Q to exit out of them if I hit 4 or 5 by mistake. kinda sad that the engy doesn't have a railgun, but the shotgun and pistol are powerful enough.
cloaked spies seem really easy to see, at least in daylight. the FF spy cloak is a little more subtle. maybe it's meant to be used more as a standing-still invis thing.
do you have to do anything to trigger the alleged situational soundbites? I heard one guy say 'you're all right, doc' but that's all I've heard so far, and I don't know if they're automatic depending on what's going on, or if you have to press a key.
also, I thought one of the good things about the camera showing your killer when you die was supposed to be that you could taunt and have your victim see it... but the killer cam is a freeze-frame, so they can't see you taunt, right?
the taunts do look situational though - when my engy killed someone with the pistol and then taunted, he blew away the smoke from the barrel >:D

So far I have played good rounds as Scout, HWG, and Medic.
The medic ubercharge is wonderful fun when you stack it on top of a HWG or good soldier <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
The Scout really is fun. tracking a scout that is constantly moving is actualy really hard to do, and lets scout stay alive even against heavy classes like HWG and soldier.
The HWG is rather standard and uninteresting. Point, Click, Kill. It is fun having a Medic following you around though <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />

Both. Obviously there is still the voice menu thats in most valve games at this point, but there is also the same system they used to make Alyx and other NPCs talk during battles in HL2. When certain requirements or conditions are met, your character has a chance to call out a certain soundbyte.
As for the actual game, I'm really really enjoying the soldier.. Which is weird as that was the only class from TF and TFC that I absolutely could not stand

Cloaked spies are 100% invisible unless they get shot or bump into someone/something from the enemy team.

If you can't hit him, thats your problem, not a problem with the class.

if enemy spies really are completely invisible even when moving, that's pretty nuts and I've gotta start spying.

I think I'll get into this more than any previous TF game.
And the demoman has a happy face pelvic thrust...
like: everything else
still getting used to: no grenades
anyone notice how the scout's billy club is overpowered? he can zip right up to you and 2 shot you in the face if you're not careful

Love the Soldier, Engi and Spy. Still need to spend more time with other classes.
Not experienced a single bug, lag or anything to hinder gameplay. Surprisingly smooth and polished.
Valve's never made a bad game. I'm not one of *them* so it counts when I say it.
