i liked it.. it meant you had to find a place that was hard to find b4 evolving

    " i think " you should use the ideas and suggestions forum <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

its a necessary part of gameplay, just egg in a vent and you are fairly safe <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

I have to agree. As unfortunate as it is to be Kahraa and get killed in an Egg going Onos it is a part of the game and a nessecary evil so to speak. Personally if you can't find somewhere safe to egg you should be more aware of your surrondings and your team. Should you not be safe to egg in your hive then you may have some series issues.

    Vulnerability is fun.

Thats why we have reloading, pressing E to build, half the walk speed when backing up, slow/weak gorges, structures that form the backbone of the tech tree. And eggs.

Being the one who is vulnerable is, as stated, a necessary evil. Thats because being on the business end of a vulnerable situation is GREAT fun.

How many times have we all snuck up on that marine building an RT, or taken out the AA, or bounced around as a fade until we hear the *click* of an empty HMG? Hell, one of the funniest moments of my gaming history involved me jumping down the ladder of Vent hive in Caged with a shotty, seeing two eggs side by side and popping them both, only to then see dozens of lines of chatter erupt. Apparently it was two onos eggs, and they were absolutely freaking the F out over the mics before, during, and after.

Not enough developers are smart enough to implement the dynamic gameplay potential of vulnerability. There is NO WAY NS should lose eggs.

    The eggs should stay, obviously
There's plenty of places to evolve and beeing vulnerable adds a little more fun and strategy to the game

besides, imagine a skulk is in front of you, and if the eggs should be removed, he could just transform into an onos in a second?

    now that would suck!

just ask a friendly gorge to move you somewhere safe, or run around in your egg like a hamster in a tredmil and pick up some speed and ROLL OUT! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

I have always enjoyed killing eggs and I have to say it does suck when I am an egg and i get killed but it is just part of the game and I know at the time I should have gone somewhere a little safer with some OC's to protect me or something. Just how it goes sometimes. However I have not had the honor to drop down on 2 poor buggers going onos and popped them both with a shotty. That is a game winner right there.

But a lot of times there is not a place to egg...say if your egging in to a onos, there is no vent that is big enough for you to get out of...and in like a really big game (32 people on the server) and the marines camp the alien spawn the aliens can never win because we just sit there in our eggs being shot....see what i mean?...or if they are going to keep this in NS2 then they should make the marines have a big like metal capsule that they upgrade in.

    my opionion.

Remove eggs, evolve by going into the hive.

Hive will have constipation when someone becomes an onos tho XD

Gorge should be able to lay decoy eggs which take some time to destroy, only to find it's got nothing in and they've been tricked. I posted this on ideas and suggestions :

Also, please up the cost of heavys x.x

Or we could combine this thread with the babbler thread and say gorges should be able to lay eggs that contain babblers that jump out when the egg is broken.

i believe that marines should have some form of setting up as well.. im sure it would take morer than 2 seconds to be equiped with a heavy or jetpack. I never really liked the egg feature because hackers would just kill off all the lifeforms then go for eggs
