So, I got an email from what I thought was spam, yammering about something called NS2 in the subject. Randomly curious, I open it up, and I realized with a thud of my heart, it was referring to THIS. I followed the link, and then saw the concepts...
The joy I feel at the thought of skulking around in the shadows, lerking in ductwork and above marine's heads...It feels sooo right. The fear I felt, cut off from my squad, sent alone to investigate why a resource collector went down, only to have an Onos come barrelling down a cooridor at me, and screaming while running backwards in my scout armor, emptying my HMG into the charging beast..to butt up against a wall, still screaming, and run out of ammo just as it comes screeching to a dead and bloody stop in front of my feet.
Hmmmm, smashed specimen containers could make for good spawn points... dynamic infestation + building a hive near the containers = they become spawn points?
I wonder what it would be like to get devoured by some kind of machine and pop out in one of those bubbles. You need to implement a custom marine taunt that says "YOU WILL BE TOTEMIZED".
In any case, great work of course. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I was sure I wouldn't be the only person to see that art and think it would make an excellent startpoint for a map. Round starting, power failure, skulks loose. Awesome.
