Love the new website and that concept is brilliant =)
Charlie, I just tried to import the RSS manually and got this error,
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Could not open <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/blog/index.xml" target="_blank">http://www.unknownworlds.com/blog/index.xml</a> to locate channels.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Not sure if this is the place to post it, but we've had no issues with receiving your feeds until the site conversion.

That feed doesn't exist anymore. The new feed is here:
<a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/news/atom.xml" target="_blank">http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/news/atom.xml</a>
Unlike this old one, this one includes all of the news posts too. NS has a separate news feed (http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns/news/atom.xml).

Ok, IPB boards won't import atom.xmls. Is there anyway you could export this via the AdminCP / Management / RSS Management / RSS Export Manager?

But yea, on a more serious note, how about some that are broken open, with glass on the outside? It didn't mention that, but I see it being pretty cool for the atmosphere.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
good idea, it would be nice to see a few where the skulks have broken out and ecaped...
or broken <u>in</u> to rescue their trapped buddies...
i love the new cleaner look of the concept art, especially when i know its going to have infestation growing all over it sooner or later <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
It makes sense to have the living / office areas clean and pleasant, then having the areas where the real work gets done look gritty - so its a like a gradual change of moods that represent level of danger - near marine spawn, or upper levels of a facility are clean and sterile looking, quiet sound except for some computer sounds here and there, and as you move down into the heart of the facility it starts to get gritty and the atmosphere gets tense, machines and steam pipes are noisy. Then you start to see the infestation and you know you are nearing a hive location.
This one really excites me, since I've been planning a map based on a survey and analysis ship that crashed. Glad to know I'm following the spirit of NS2.
Is there any chance of getting one or two other container models? Something cylindrical, perhaps. A (controllable?) magnification apparatus hanging off it would be cool. If at all possible.
Was quite happily surprised to get an e-mail about this aswell ^^
You can't stop the kharaa with a overgrown bulb.

Anyways, I loved it! It looks awesome and the sketch were awesome like all the other things you guys made! =D

I agree with aeroripper on the jars size, maybe too small for Onos. (but I doubt TSA can jail some, especially if they're adult). <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
By the way, that's a nice idea, reminds me of lab area on ns_enceladus.

We coded everything for the new site from scratch (except the forums obviously), so you could say it's a plugin for the blog, but we wrote the blog and the plugin <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />. The popup was originally based on some 3rd party code, but we ended up changing almost all of it due to issues with the original implementation. If you like the current version, I wish you could see the more sexy version that fades the image as it zooms (unfortunately that was too taxing for most browsers).
But i'm just wondering how can you put a fade or an onos into that jars xD
No, that feed has nothing to do with Invision. The old blog feed was an Atom feed as well - how did you get that to work? One option is to use some sort of Atom to RSS converter. I did a quick search and found one that seems to work. Here's URL for the generated RSS feed:
<a href="http://feed.profitux.cz/atom=http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/news/atom.xml" target="_blank">http://feed.profitux.cz/atom=http://www.un...2/news/atom.xml</a>

I got the old blog to work by using "http://www.unknownworlds.com/blog/index.xml" which was validated as recently as the "Marine concepts" blog, automatically posted on my site August 7th.
Thanks a lot for the convertor, I never knew such a thing existed. I'll try it now to see if it will validate.
Your gold fish isnt as big as your fist.
Great work UWE, and well done max for your codeing genious, cory keep it up mate, the quiker you produce concpets like this the faster they can be shipped to J, and the other maya monkeys.
