gallery usability: images should replace when viewed

Hi, I guess this is more a usability issue than a bug.
When you're watching an image in the gallery, it becomes enlarged and put in the center.
If you already have one open, it puts the new one on top.
When you want to view one of the images that's behind it, that becomes a problem, since you have to click to close all those images.
It's not a big thing, but make it close whatever was previously open would make it an even smoother experience.
