Ya, if you played on poorly made maps it often wasn't much fun, but if you played on better made maps it was awesome. The problem was less that sven coop sucked, it was more that the mappers who were mapping for sven coop often didn't have the ability to fully utilize the potential of the project, either they couldn't figure out how to make the map more entertaining, or they made the architecture uninteresting, or they just spammed a bunch of enemies and thought that making the player fight them made the game fun.
Not that I'm saying I could do better, but there were some really disappointing maps in that game... You really had to choose the right maps to play if you wanted to get the full benefit. I guess that's sort of the hazard with an open mod environment in which the content is streamed through. There is no professional entity looking through everything and going "What is this ish? That won't sell at all!"

Yeah, they always had the enemies that never missed and always stood in one place and took a million shots to kill, like Grunts and Alien Grunts, it was really annoying. Gears of War coop is tons of fun, too.

yah, the game looks awsome, the fact that my biggest problem that I see so far is that the stomp animation looks silly is a HUGE plus in my mind (cmon, we are upset about a farken stop animation!). I hope that they do somethign about it (like give them a number of attacks they use on people on the ground, and have them randomly use them).
I do wish that there was a combination of fast and slow zombies, but I can live with fast ones. The boss baddies look awseom, the tounge one looks particularly fun to play.
BTW, about them running directly at you, they don't. Watch the video again, watch how they handle obstacles (like cars), their movement looks rather realistic and fluid. They are not zig zagging, but that is a GOOD thing TBH.
Will someone fix the title already? I keep coming in here thinking there's actually a review. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/confused-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="???" border="0" alt="confused-fix.gif" />
Colloquially it's not an actual game review, but they do do a pretty good "review" of the game. I mean, they go over the features and stuff. That's theoretically a review. Obviously we're all conditioned to think of movie/game reviews as being about the final product and stuff, but hey, the word means other stuff too <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
