I'd like to know how exactly, it allows my xDSL to increase in speed. Do they deploy pixies to the Telco RAS, carrying my packets with love & care to & from the Internet?
Or perhaps it's just one big pile of steaming code.
If a server only allows, say, 100kbps, and you use 10 connections, but your bandwidth limit is, say 512kbps, you'll still get 450 in stead of 100 or so. It just asks for several connections for one file basically.

Doubleplus good and "extremly best" are two entirely different concepts. Doubleplus good is gramatically fine in Newspeak, whereas extremly best is just as broken as "extremly better" or anything else like that. Doubleplus good would be analogous to "very good" or even "very very good" but just because both it and the broken phrase mean approximately the same thing doesn't mean they're comparable any more than any normal English expression about goodness or greatness would be with "extremly good."

Yeah, so download accelerators basically just steal bandwidth from the site.
