If I read into back after I first watched it correctly then Tsukihime started as a hentai game which later spawned the fighting games which then lead to either the manga or anime :o
As for Gankutsuou, I guess it's not for everyone but I've found that anyone I've made sit through the whole first episode or two usually hunts down the rest of the series on their own rather willingly :p I think the unusual art style puts a lot of people off at first but you get used to it and some scenes such as the scene with haydee in her elaborate dress are just breath-taking!
<b>edit:</b> Rover could be right though, perhaps the manga came first... tsukihime's past is a bit confusing :p

so in Claymore 8, when pricillia powers up (in the mountain) I swear to god that it makes a sound like a Star Wars laser blast <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
with enough people saying that Darker Then Black is decent I will try it out (I gave up on GL for to silly)
Oh, and I know I said it before
but I seriously love the art and music from Claymore.

I'm catching up with Gurren Lagann and I'm disappointed. It took a giant sh*t on itself by killing off a good character, making one an emo and introducing a stupid bimbo.
Hell, the anime they based Evangelion on was pretty much "EVERYONE DIES! AND MECHS!" <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Runaway_Ideon#.22Kill_.27Em_All.22" target="_blank">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Runaway...ll_.27Em_All.22</a> <a href="http://www.japanator.com/nothing-can-top-ideon%E2%80%99s-death-toll" target="_blank">http://www.japanator.com/nothing-can-top-i...%99s-death-toll</a>
It's a Gainax thing. If mechs are involved, main characters MUST die.
Heh, my little sister likes megaman sprites. I got a lulz off of it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

Heh, ah here we go.
This is the anime which I figure he was based off of.

Anyways figure it's like Star Wars. Main character gets trained. Then the teacher must either leave, or die for the story to progress.

Hellsing: Ultimate was awesome (while the made-for-tv series smelled like months-old leftovers and raw sewage.)
