I've actually responded to this a number of time, on here, Discord, steam & reddit.
We just fixed some VR bugs in Steam experimental, and are puttying in a VR PDA distance options slider. You can try them out (still a work-in-progress)
Re: Just make the game Free2Play already?
Back on the subject of free2play, let me link to you @GhoulofGSG9 post on ns2:combat: https://forums.unknownworlds.com/discussion/comment/2364768/#Comment_2364768
Please keep in mind that at the time, NS2:Combat wasn't free (like it is now) and the combat mod wasn't available in ns2 (like it is now)

Re: Just make the game Free2Play already?
People cry about custom maps being "bad" primarily because they don't know all the best ambush points or where to stand for the best sight lines.. They just want to play summit, tram, and veil endlessly because they know those maps, they know every perfect strategy and don't have to put in any effort to learn the map.
Re: Update 324 - CATALYST - Natural Selection 2
Allow me to introduce you to the wonderful theory of giant connected components in random graphs!
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giant_component
Essentially this says that if you have a small number of random edges (about as many as you have nodes) then the entire graph will be connected with very high probability.
For our purposes, this means that if there are as many players who choose servers randomly as there are servers, then every server will be able to transfer skill to every other server, and the differences should even out over time.

Re: ns2_origin
Dude, this map is awesome.
It's a close perfect balance between the old layout and new game mechanics.
This should be the new default map instead of veil... ;]

Re: ns2_unearthed
another small patch just went out.
Changes -
- added a new light to the exposure - filtration vent to make the whole vent more visible to marines passing by
- added barrels in front of the mining tunnel unusable door to make it clearer you can't use said door.
- lighting tweaks throughout the whole map, performance should be better mapwide now (Thanks to @Zavaro for showing me the errors of my ways and putting me on the path to greatness! :P )
- a few minor detail alterations to Furnace

Re: ns2_origin
Updates:
-Added a broken catwalk ramp on the right side between Ore and Generator to improve the flow and fighting in that area.
Makes it a bit easier to attack Ore PG , powernode and structures, because of the ramp shortcut.
-Visual changes to Ventilation so it's easier to recognize, which side you are looking at and where to go (symmetry issues similar to Sub-Sector in Veil).
-Moved all location names onto the minimap and into better positions.
-Minor changes to crates in Cargo and Shipping to improve fights in certain scenarios.

Re: Per Team Skills
commander wouldn't be an issue if being a commander would feel awesome but this might be an issue with ns2's core design. The only role that has to be filled is a RTS role in a game that is for most part an fps game.
I only play pubs, comp might be completely differrent, but I do enjoy commanding. It's only a chore when your team is unresponsive... but when they do listen and work together, it's an awesome experience.
Re: There's a large splinter in my likeness of this game. And it's the company.
There's a large splinter in my likeness of this game. It's the company: They're complete left handed as can be liberals. They put no guns in the game as a statement against gun violence, who cares. They fired the sound guy cus he didn't fit their eleftist values, the guy who had probably the most important role in the game's development now gone, nice job.
I really like this game but this will always be on my mind when I am playing it now and I can no longer enjoy the game as I used to. I'm definitely not going to buy any other game or product again from this company besides the expansion. Sorry, but I just very much dislike people this left and liberal. And Idc ban me for what I think just like you banned Sy. Screw this company.
You're free buy & play the game, or to not buy or play the game. We wont stop you. But we hope you play the game and find something different and unique. Games are not created in a vacuum, they are created by people from all walks of life & political backgrounds.
Subnautica was built from the start with the Sandy Hook shooting in our minds. As I'm sure you're aware, we built the company on shooting games with guns (NS1 & NS2) but after Sandy Hook, we wanted to make something which wasn't about killing or violence. More exploration & wonder.
As for Simon, you can read the reasons & statement here: https://kotaku.com/subnautica-dev-fired-over-hateful-statements-1822746373
Thanks.
