Re: How do you fight warpers?
I personally like the game as is (in terms of content and mechanics).
Stasis Rifle from what I've seen is really op for what it does (only just today acquired one so I haven't gotten much use out of it yet).
That said a very basic harpoon gun would be nice (and it doesn't even need to do all that much damage, just enough to discourage predators).

What the heck did i just read
Re: How do you fight warpers?
Anyone tried a blast to the face with a Repulsion Cannon? Works on Reapers...
You guys are reading right over this. Works great on Warpers given their small size; sends them flying. Yes, they could warp back to you at some point but using the repulsion cannon usually gives me enough breathing room to get done what I need to. It also interrupts their lock on you as they'll usually start patrolling an area further away.
Re: How do you fight warpers?
Pretty sure that was me. Sounds like me, anyway. I suppose I neglected to mention that they will tend to boop you as well, as you move close, but then, I'm used to cats drawing blood as a sign of affection, so maybe my perspective is skewed.Someone on this Forum told me to "Boop" them on the "Snoot", which I did attempt.
Let me learn you some knowledge... Do not, I repeat, do not "Boop" them on the "Snoot". Much like Jesus said (Probably every other prophet ever as well) Turn the other cheek. When they pull you out of your Seamoth or PRAWN, just say "I respect your decision to observe my infected self, but must politely retreat to the safety of my vehicle. Thank you for your service."
Once back in your vehicle, leave and never return.
(i.e. you might soak a hit to get close, but one hit doesn't hurt all that bad, and it makes them go away and quit tormenting you for a while)

1a) Adding little or no value to the discussion, whether it be a short post like 'cool' or rehashing information that was already present OR
Oh, I hate it when people just put "cool" on a thread that's over a year old.
Re: How old does a thread have to be that answering is considerd necroposting?
I don't think Necroing is even banned! And, Necroposting is just things like posting "Necro" or "Revived", its not necro if you have something valuable to say.
Re: How do you fight warpers?
Haven't played the game for a while. Is there any peaceful way to deal with the warper?
Swim away. He's not fast.

Yeah, the way I deal with Stalkers and Sandsharks?
I keep my eyes open. Stalkers usually seem to have a rather short aggro range, so if you keep your distance and stay to their blind spots then generally I can get what I need and skirt out.
Sandsharks are a bit tougher, and require a wider range, but again, keep your eyes open and study them and you can usually adapt.
