[Bug] Cannot switch input back to mouse buttons [Build 15170]

I recently was messing around with the input settings and found that mouse inputs cannot be created. (That is, I can't change walk forward form "w" to "MB1") This is very unfortunate because once you change the inputs for left hand and right hand, you can't change it back to the mouse inputs. This then led to me finding out that no inputs now work for "lefthand" and "right hand", once I load the game I just can't use my hands at all. The last thing I did in game before this mess up was to dig a hole for my cyclops to hide in using the terraformer.

This renders the game unplayable. Unbelievable. Any other ideas? For what it's worth, this is on a Mac OS X 10.10.
