what a well thought out and nicely presented idea.
all I can say is: yes.
The idea of a looming threat is great when I think about it.
also what you said about blight and dustbowl intrigues me and probably would intrigue in Mid-Game Threat Comment by terraformer004 January 2016 -
i also thought of a *way* to implement my idea
currently the longest pipe you can add is 10m long. currently when you swim further than 10m, the green line connencting the pipes dissapears.
I say that instead of dissapearing, the green l… -
well... i mentioned it in a previous post i made
Basically I think a monster should eat you when you get to the limit, and that limit should be visually defined by the presence of bones scattered in a barren sandy wasteland.
<…ok new suggestion, make foundations bigger so that the room centers on them (maybe that is what @bootsy was suggesting?)

the only thing is, with the moon pool, it's important to have that area eaten away so that you can drive the sea moth to the docking hole.i think that will end up being an unnecessary/annoying feature... but i might be wrong; tell me, why did you feel this feature was necessary?*realizes this poll is bait* (thanks @04Leonhardt )
if you center the rooms, then they will not line up with the grid for the corridors
you need mini-foundations (1/4 the size of the the current ones) that cut off the off-centeredness without messing with the grid you create when you lay …[redacted]@04Leonhardt
why are yes/no polls bad? (I'm not disagreeing with you, i'm just genuineley curious why you would be against something so...generic)

it's not too dark, we just need a more effective flashlight is all...I respectfully disagree. It is unrealistic for the survivor to need to kill a big monster. If I were alone on a planet, It would be unrealistic for me to kill a shark for food. The shark would be way too much food if I can fill up on 3 peepers. It w…BUT I would love the storyline of a ship at the bottom of the ocean and being able to explore it. -all i'm saying is that the bases are unrelated.the way I see it, those bases were built by other survivors. they have the exact same technology as we do. if it was built by natives or another crash-landed ship, they would have different tech.maybe you should have to feed your fish or they die.i'm sure when they say "no lethal weapons" they mean no pistols or sniper rifles with bullets. they are trying to be unique- too many games are about killing things with guns - but subnautica is not trying to be another shooting game. tbh i find it …oh my god... so many hilarious, bad ideasi think that fits better at the perimeters of the game, as the game's map perimeteri'm amazed by the sheer volume of different sugestions and ideas out there
i only agree that- more animals should have disguise

^YES.a similar thing happens in the cyclops last time I checked- has the h20 update come out yet? id guess that update (which has to do with light and water graphics) would fix it...Im sorry I have no idea - you can always get creative with a terraformer and some patience...? build a tower of rock up to your sub…after reading what all of y'all have said, I think that fish should respawn.
