I have been experiencing the same issue. I just discovered that you can get the prawn suit unstuck by blasting it with the repulsion cannon. It's a bit awkward, but it's a solution.

I think I just found a solution. If you blast the prawn suit with the repulsion cannon, it gets unstuck. It's a bit awkward, but it worked for me.
