I'm afraid that as long as the early game remains as short and as long as gorges aren't necessary and/or have a significant p.res sink, lifeform explosions are going to remain a thing. In ns1 you simply NEEDED some players to go gorge and drop hives…

Wow RFK.
Not sure it'll work like this though, just means the first fade will come out quicker if you don't change lifeform timing. -
I wish theyd fix echoing hives

Better re-add catalyst packs if the name of the next update is gonna be catalysis

(Quote) I can see why this would be sensible, particularly to combat later game suicide bile gorges, which are particularly troublesome on pubs... but I do believe the gorge should get its better spit back in return, better healspray or something…

I'll keep saying it though, why don't you just prolong the early game? Right now an alien team can afford to save for fades en masse because they can easily bridge the relatively short gap between lerk and fade timing as mostly skulks. If the early …

The good thing about the old alien teamwork setup at least is that it didn't rely on just 1 person, i.e if your commander is a total novice he can essentially ruin the game, and while the alien comm isn't exactly very hard, it sure as hell is confus…

Rename it to Natural Selection, drop the 2.

Really looking forward to Caged and Eclipse, personally. Though maps take a long time to develop so I'm afraid it won't be for anytime soon
Maybe this is not the right place to ask, but I'll do it anyway; are there any other big things planned for the september upgrade? While a female marine model and a new map are great stuff, they won't exactly affect gameplay. Third alien upgrade? Ne…The new LMG is definitely interesting, though I think most players will continue associating the old LMG model with an actual LMG in stength and not the stronger more HMG type weapon it is here. So if this actually makes it into the real game, I rec…Fades dominating pubs comes down to four things:
- No proper comm support (No meds, nanos, no A/W upgrades, no scans, no voice commanding, ...)
- No proper marine coordination (staying grouped, blocking off the fade's exit points, ...)(Quote)
Search natural selection 2 in steam market and you can see all of them, or look on your profile page and look for the NS2 steam cards list
Voted, I think it's got a good chance with being the only -75% game in the list.Still shit to be honest. UWE needs to unnerf them and allow gas-blocking and stomp-disabling again. There is now a supply system which could easily keep them from being spammed as well...What nonsense, as if 250 had anything to do with it. NS 2's concurrent playerbase was in decay before that and it's still in decay after. I'd argue the overall gameplay is better, or at least on the proper path but unfortunately it did very little t…Frontpage is only for daily deals, community choice and flash sales. I'm sure it will be included in the flash sale/community choice or daily deal at some point. (At -75% probably)
And yea, you probably need to pay to be included in those.+1, I really don't understand this nerf. Marines are considerably more powerful on just 1 CC lategame (Jps, FTs, Single Exos), which would have already given the old onos a tough time, but now they also nerfed it on top of that, making it a complete…Weapon recycling being taken out of the game is long overdue to be honest. This is particularly problematic when turtling. You simply can't justify a symmetric economic model allowing only one side to effectively recycle p.res investments.
I think it's an exaggeration to claim that the alien commander ruined NS2, but I would agree that the alien game was considerably more fun in NS1, when gorges were a lot more meaingful and fun to play.I really hope you take some steps to prolong the early game. It was pretty great at one point in the BT, at 15 t.res for extractors but with the current 8 t.res extractors and marine TP untying it feels like the mid-late game comes much faster.
I can't help but think that most of the complaining here and elsewhere stems from people being naturally reluctant to accept major changes. I've worked on a major multiplayer mod in the past and I vividly recall the flood of negative comments every-…I get stuck waiting on GPU now, so yea cpu performance definitely improved but I don't quite understand why my GPU struggles now. I was under the impression this game wasn't very demanding on the GPU. I have a 570M 1.5GB DDR5 Video card and I can ru…The more flexibile alien upgrade path was one of the best things about the mod (possibility to have leap at hive 1, etc) Can't believe you took it out...(Quote) Wait what? I will agree the idea of an overhead alien commander is flawed, it simply doesn't work. But for marines? You must be joking. The marine commander aspect is one of the core elements of what ultimately made NS 1 great and enabled…NS 1 should have been in the top 10 to be honest. Not sure how the drifter building is supposed to 'tie up' the alien economy. It's a nonsensical argument really. All it does is add an additional delay and cost for the aliens, something you could easily incorporate with the original design.

Or it may actually get bigger again? Why exactly will it necessarily get smaller?
I for one am waiting for the mod to get released, and I would actively start playing again if it did.
Granted many people who quit …I'm guessing the Xbox can't run NS 2 at high settings
