  • That's terrible. I get paid today and I'll be pitching in a bit. I don't have much but I've never lost everything either.

Best wishes to you and yours Ironhorse.
  • Because people like to play with their friends? Because people don't like to play with scrubs who don't work together?

Take your pick, they are the same thing. I'd recommend finding and joining servers with a teamwork focused community. …
  • For this game you'll definitely want a half decent headset. The mic is important but being able to hear which direction your opponent is coming from is super important also. I'd recommend letting people know you're new and asking lots of questions. …
  • I like the tactical gamer solution. When you concede your team can't attack and the other team has 2 minutes to destroy the chair. The winning team gets the stompy feeling the losing team has less than 2 minutes to wait.
  • Or just leave it out because it's terrible and not worth the trouble.

  • Haha, awesome. They really do need something that makes the victory less shallow to the winning team. A concede should be something that has the winning team doing virtual high fives not asking "What just happened, how did we win?" The TG servers ha…

Because you have an unbuilt CC but the 2 exo's are the only ones alive and that's a stupid way to end the game. This has been relevant for games I've played at least twice in the past 3 months. Not much but enough to notice and hat…

@Industry Thanks for digging that up. I was sure it's the case but I'm WAY to lazy to look for proof in Sewlek's Beta Test Mod Comment by Tinker April 2013

I'm pretty sure they are cherry picking features and changes and not using the whole overhaul in one go. I could be very wrong on that though, I don't follow this thread that closely and certainly don't have the inside track at UWE…

I kind of disagree. One of the things that kept me playing NS1 for so long was that every once in a while they made a moderate shift to the mechanics that freshened it up and invalidated old strategies. I'd actually be concerned if…

Why should babblers be almost useless while still costing 1 pres? As other posts have shown there's plenty of justification for making them strong(er) when they cost money. What's your justification for leaving them underpowered wh…

We aren't saying they need to have those things specifically, but they need something. I'd be happy for the damage they did now with them being more able to harass and land hits. They shouldn't be a killing machine but they also sh…

  • But they aren't the same lifeform. Your argument is basically "it's improper!" and frankly who cares as long as it plays well?

Also, they can do only 1 thing at a time for FREE. A gorge would be spending 1-3 pres for a small unit that ac…

  • Yeah, I had a drifter I got the jump on just book away so fast it startled me. I couldn't put enough damage into it before it got across the room to finish it.
  • I know I petered out ~6 months after the site went down. I was a pretty frequent lurker when I was playing

Needlessly obfuscating the usefulness of tools is not hard mode. It's unpolished mode and reflects poorly on the overall quality of the game while adding nothing of value at the strategic difficulty level.

  • Once they are deployed the range finder is less useful as it's already only gonna hit whats in range. This is one of those odd oversights that has been mentioned forever and hasn't gotten any love. This has to be a relatively simple fix too I'd imag…
  • What it adds against skulks is excellent support. When I'm doing well skulking it's usually because I'm doing well keeping my targets between myself and the targets allies, blocking the supports bullets. With a railgun this doesn't work. Skulk in pa…
  • This is a real issue. I can only reliably get into a few servers because it got too much to go find whatever mod that server happened to have and go get it. I don't know what can be done but joining games should have no such barriers. Have there bee…
  • Serious. Perch is rad but not because I sit there spiking marines for minor damage.

Take the training wheels off? Not having tracers was training wheels for lerks and it led to terrible play.
  • Serious, lerk spikes are great for harassing dmg, approach damage, finishing damage and getting the parasite effect to improve your next pass.

They are not good for building, killing healthy marines.

I swear the number of tim…
  • NS2 is a niche game that doesn't appeal (and can't) to everyone. It doesn't expect to retain higher numbers of players but will tend to hold onto the players it does acquire for a longer period of time.
  • I've never had that big a problem with trolling. Not gonna say it's never happened to me but if I've ever hit 2 troll servers in a row I've never noticed.

You guys have got to be joking. Let me know when you've learned to play. The best comm in the world can't help crappy marines position, aim, coordination. However, The best marines can hold ground/spawn camp while a noob comm takes…
  • I wouldn't want to see 2 numbers popping in combat but I wouldn't mind if the number that appeared was dmg after armor instead of before. So a pistol on shot on an armored skulk would show <10 dmg and and unarmored would show the full 10. It woul…
  • The commander in no way wins and loses games. He supports his troops but it's up to them to be in the right place (either by themselves or being where they are told) and shoot straight.

You can't just make up definitions. Alienation does NOT require intent or else no business would ever alienate their customers. But they do, don't they? In fact, bigger companies will spend millions on preventing customer alienati…
