  • apprently i'm well outvoted haha
  • i dunno brite, i've actually seen one post where someone seems to love the new (accidental) difficulty.

that being said, they gave us access to beta for the purpose of appraisal and to see if they are headed in the right direction.
  • re-reading the entries, baiting and luring big monsters sounds fun, i keep thinking like, a whale enclosure at like, seaworld, but with a reaper in it. that would be sweet, my own pet reaper.
Heck, i'd love to have docile versions of every fis…
  • yeah been reading up on that since you mentioned it actually, amazing stuff, maybe they can add like, a food proccesor, turn that biomass you build up into food, like the lab grown steaks/ burgers. hehe... nutrient blocks become craftable!
  • haha good job pyro ^_^ but i do look forward to your entry!
  • if you want to dodge them, swim in circles around them, as close as you can, they can't turn fast and you can end them before they cause harm, honestly i don't like having to use the "it's me or them" mentality, but i tend to hardcore mode and at th…
  • give you something to use rotten stuff for, like a trash can with a bit of usefulness haha
  • just park it near the node, it can be fussy but can be done

Oooh that sounds cool, like build up some genetic material and 'grow' a bone sharks exo skeleton? give yourself a dive suit more resistant to damage?
  • True, that was something that hadnt popped to mind when i thought of it. but i'd still like to see some artificial reefs, maybe over time the aurora can build up some coral life and such? that'd be cool, having a game adapt to a long term session
  • If they decide on having more downed vessals id love to see some ancient wrecks, like covered in barnacles acting as artificial reefs and the like, i would think its a location for rare materials, but not technology.
  • I'm liking the darts idea, it's a pain in the butt to catch peepers and really, a little easing of that situation would be cool.
that said, more ways to interact with the creatures would be cool, like, making nets to capture them, or even plan…
  • i've been to many forums in my lifetime, this is the first where i've seen a flame stop at the threat of embers, well done to you all, I think i'm going to stay a while longer.

but on topic, i don't think weapons should ever be rea…
  • yeah more activity at night but a more nesting attitude during the day for stalkers, bleeders i want more of an ambush mentailty, much smaller aggro radius, but a little quicker, so its more you keep an eye out for them to avoid them, like crash nes…

  • i figured that would be like how our stomache acids make everything orangey, like they simply store their waste to release when threatened.
also where they are found typically has those bubble corals, possibly they are sticking their mouths in…
  • i dunno, i think bonesharks should remain hyper aggressive, they seemlike a creature thats territorial, and nature takes the descriptor VERY seriously, but i also imagine that stalkers would be a nesting type creature, they always seem to move their…

NO! bad Sayrulz! no fartopod for you!

  • I like it i like it alot, every ecosystem has something at the bottom and airsacks seem a perfect fit, genuinely fun to watch behaviours in this game, also of note is it just me or do gasopods have like a butterflies mouth? it seems like they'd suck…
  • using the relay crystals you can charge the cyclops, just fyi
  • doesnt the repulsor already do this though?
  • is that not already in game?
  • very much on board with more terraforming options, i mean, its why we were going there in the first place.
  • or maybe they have been cut off from their typical hunting grounds by the crash, the aurora is on a fairly precarious ledge.

also of note, bladder fish have no mouth, maybe they are another filter style fish but with a mineral bent? when…
  • true, hence why i think they are a secondary food source, a food of opportunity and not their primary. Although what would fit that bill i have no idea...
  • would make a sick hoodie, boneshark head for the hood
  • i think you're on to something there, possibly why the gasopods are as they are-hoping to blind and disorrient the reaper in turn? whatever it hunts, the reaper obviously needs to hold tight to it; and considering the speed of the reaper, maybe the …
  • haha THIS guy :P

  • Or perhaps the reaper is a cautious hunter? It's smart enough to catch a seamoth and has even been known to slam them into the seabed, maybe the sheer size or the Cyclops intimidates it, have you tried the horn at them?

    also of note abou…
  • I like that idea, and they are a deep colour, it makes them harder to spot from a distance in their deeper waters. maybe their primary predator is the bone shark? i would think the sand shark is more an aggressive filter feeder, eats lots of tiny th…
  • I found that seaglide makes a return after you craft a few lubricants, go make a big batch of that and it should appear
