Tested Catalyst 14.6 on a kabini(A4-5000). Worked fine. Poor performance, but pretty much all 3D games are slow on it(not a gaming rig).
Think we can say that this issue is resolved. -
Tested 14.6 just now on my kaveri. It loaded the sandbox mode, so it seems to be compiling the shaders.

I bought an A10-7850K APU. Wanted a less noisy system with no discrete gfx card. Not expecting NS2 to run well on this system right now since we're waiting for AMD to get their promised OpenGL driver optimization in place.
I get this black scr… -

nope, havent noticed anything like this. Try some older drivers, like 319.
I recommend this ppa for nvidia drivers:

that sound like a better solution.

and the subscribe function doesn't seem to work. It only changes the active option when clicking on it.

I have this problem a lot as well. They should add the possibility to delete the mods from ingame instead of using terminal. Also, it should ask if you want to update/replace the mod instead of disconnecting you from the server.

i had not expected it to run that smoothly on HD4000, even though its at very low res, and the video doesn't show the typical situations where you get low FPS. Maybe there's hope for the A10-6800K and the future kaveri APU as wellLet's hope they improve in the coming months before SteamOS is released.Don't have AMD graphics myself, but someone has mentioned that you should turn off the AMD A.I functionality.
Is it Phenom I or Phenom II you have btw?Try deleting your config file. Its probably located in %userdata% . In the Natural Selection 2 folder. There should be a file named system_options.xml. This could probably safely be deleted, and it will be remade(but take backup). You could also cha…Also the HD4000 has 16 execution cores(shader cores) compared to 400 or more on discrete cards(CUDA cores on nVidia, stream processor on AMD/ATI). Lot of parallel workload on GPUs. I guess HD4000 will work on graphically less demanding games, but no…Im not entierly sure the HD4000 is capable of running this game(with only 16 shader cores). I don't think it meets the minimum requirements.yeah, i do something like that, exfept i use pgrep ns2 instead to get the processes.
I played for 2 hours now without crash, with the debug running. I'll start doing it every time i play.what process should i attach to? I have tried to attach to the spark engine one, but it didnt give much. Maybe im doing it wrong.Still get crashes in 258.[ 4546.006788] ns2_linux32[4304]: segfault at 0 ip 00000000f17dc1a6 sp 00000000ffdfb310 error 4 in libnvidia-glcore.so.319.49[f02e0000+1f5b000]

in New AMD GPU14 Comment by Skvate September 2013I think it has to do with the memory on discrete cards. The memory on those are faster for what they are meant to do. The more "general purpose" ram in the computer is not specialized to do the same work. Since the GPU in an APU uses that memory, it…Well, the current APU(A10-6800K) gen is somewhat faster than my Phenom II X3 720 according to benchmarks, and i am capable of running NS2 as it is. If the built-in GPU can keep up, i will make the switch. I don't mind turning down the graphics to m…Not gona buy any more dedicated GPUs.
I'm hoping their APUs get powerfull enough to run games like NS2 at a playable framerate. Maybe this hUMA system will make it better(depends on devs implementing it i guess).
I'm dreaming of a sub 10…I havent gotten around to use the gdb thing yet, but will try later if its still needed.(Quote)
