All they have to do, in my opinion, is allow the touch/vive controllers to work as a gamepad.
The biggest reason why I don't play Subnautica in VR is that I'm standing there, trying to decide which game to play, and Subnautica is the onl… -

I can say from my tests that the effect is pronounced in VR, adding a level to the immersion. Also, let's consider that this is promo material for the game.

I've got one. The bubbles that you need to breathe to get oxygen have a blindingly bright animation. It hurts the eyes in VR. Could cause headaches/seizures.

Another reason why controller support would help is that, even without full tracked motion controls, it would get you free of the xbox controller cord. Meaning you would be able to turn and move around at least in roomscale, getting rid of the need …

Not that I think it's not possible, but wouldn't the air cavities in the craft need to move to make it roll? So it's not the same as rotating with thrusters in zero gravity. Do any underwater craft have the ability to roll?(Quote)
To expand on what you said, the vignetting is a system that blurs the peripheral vision when you move to prevent the sickness that comes from moving with a joystick (especially turning). I can play Subnautica for about an hour befo…Controller support is a long standing VR issue. An extra purchase of a wireless controller shouldn't be necessary if the game has VR support.I agree. A VR update would be amazing. This game could be one of the best VR games.
Touch/Vive controller support would allow the player to spin in their chair without being held back by the Xbox controller cable.
Hand tracki…Maybe I am asking for something different. I think the clarity of the water gives you too much visual information and takes away the mystery. First are some direct comparison scenes (using the glitch I mentioned above).
<a href="This is absolutely my biggest wish for the game. There is actually a bug (last time I checked) where if you go to the top ~1 foot of water and look down, you can see what it would look like with murkier water, and it is much more realistic/scarier.<…I'm on the Vive, and keyboard and mouse never worked in VR mode for me.
They should add support for the wireless Vive controllers, even without motion controls, so users are not bound to a seated experience.
Who knows, it could also be in my head. But, a slider would eliminate all nagging from people like me once the game releases. The short answer is that it's a problem with the game. Though, the Vive's software could just as easily remedy it.
It's a shadowy topic, but, as far as I can tell, it is a difference in how the Rift and Vive determine the separation of t…None in the Vive software, or in game. I just checked. Thanks for your response.(Quote)
It won't happen again, Sir!

People play through the game multiple times, so they would likely be watching it from the top eventually. Little touches make big differences in games because not everyone sees them every time. The HUD distance/scaling is off. Are your lenses not set at the closest setting?
Other people are seeing the HUD halfway off the screen, and maybe they have the lenses set closer. Is the VR render scale setting (in the game's settings) at 100? I got the problem you describe when I turned it down.I have this too, with my Vive. Inventory is about 3 inches from your face.
Also the health bars and item belt are not as close, but they are only halfway on the screen.(Quote)
Now that I see that, I do remember watching it before, haha!(Quote)
Just youtubed that, and holy crap, it's true, and looks excellent.
If anyone doesn't mind, please write in-game feedback about this if you do agree.I'm bumping this because I cared enough to post it and send in-game feedback messages. It's something that everyone (in my experience) notices when they play the game. It's not realistic or necessary. It's pretty noticeable, right? Like, for a game all about swimming that you can't SWIM like a human being.
I also agree about shallow water. Weird, but not as annoying. It would be better to stand on island formations just beneath the su…
