Perhaps there needs to be more of a slow down upon landing from a jump to deter retarded looking marines frolicking everywhere? It really is bad. Standing on the ground and slightly looking up helps, but at least 2/3 of my bites don't hit.

Oh... the days where NS was actually fun!...

Did you even play NS1? If you did, you were obviously not in the competitive scene.
BTW, NS2 is less asymmetrical than most games out there. NS1 was a lot more asymmetrical than NS2 and it was tons more balanced.
You know what's funny? NOBODY complained about balance issues with NS1. Each side was unique (Marine had commanders, aliens didn't). Why attempt to fix what isn't broken? All NS1 needed was a graphics revamp which is already here. So...Personally, the NS2 players community is nothing but a bunch of little punks. I swear, I've never played with so many assholes as I do in NS2. NS1 had the best community ever, which is the reason why I invested in the sequel.Buy a 4-pack on one of your lucky friend's account and have him gift the other 3 to your other friends. You're welcome!Blah blah blah... these tournaments are sooooo boooorrrriiinnngggg..... yawn!Honestly, who cares? These matches are sooo boring to watch.I don't know what the Fade says, but I do know what the fox says...in What Does The Fade Say? Comment by PoNeH October 2013
Honestly, I miss the independent gameplay for the Aliens (NS1). All you needed was someone to save for the hive, a couple of Fades, and maybe a Lerk depending how your early game was going. It was much more pub friendly. I wish they would have ke…Who cares if 60 hours don't exactly dictate skill level? It does dictate ability to understand basic concepts of the game. I guarantee anyone here that a server that has a requirement of 100+ hours of NS played over one without would yield a signi…Servers should definetely segregate players based on hours played. This is what I've been asking for since the game went public.(Quote)
Well, the game is balanced for 16 players. So the fact that the 18-24 player servers are having issues doesn't really matter to devs.
Main reason: Alien Commander. Why?
Well, I believe it removes the main unique factor NS1 had that most other shooter's didn't. A balanced gameplay between two completely different playing styles. Now? Both teams are pretty much the …I miss being able to electrify my RTs.UWE's idea of marketing is publishing articles about these "tourneys" that most people don't really care about. #FAIL(Quote)
Honestly, I feel that the Spark engine is the main reason behind NS2's stall. Having been a Source game as originally planned, the game would have been released years earlier and more people would have been capable of playing the …Once again, as much as I love NS, there is no possible way this game should of made it into the 25 Top Shooters of ALL TIME. Especially NS2. NS1 was a lot more successful in population, uniqueness of gameplay between both sides, balance, and perfo…Lol. Indeed. As I much as I love the NS community, I wouldn't place NS1 or 2 in the top 25 shooters of ALL TIME. Maybe in recent history. Either way, NS1 should be mentioned before NS2 by a long shot. It was tons more successful, fluid, and the…I mentioned this since the beginning of BETA and seems to have gone to deaf years. We need a "Restore Defaults" for the bindings ASAP!I wish I could, but the teams usually concede before anything gets interesting. Hooray for concede!!!(Quote)
Unless it's some kind of special edition, I have NEVER seen a game in that price range. Stretched it a bit there eh?!
Honestly, this thread is useless. At least the method of acquiring all this data is. There are A LOT more variables that could affect ones FPS individually. The only way to accurately gather data across machines is to have the same exact animatio…(Quote)
I like this idea! Keep players hidden until game starts and/or player has joined a team! Simple and efficient.
Your friends will let you know which team they've joined (via Steam, other clients).
How come most other FPS games don't have a "I'm a pansy and I quit this round" feature? They seem to be doing pretty good in gaming population and such too.
If someone knows that they are stuck in that round until its entirety, then may…I believe the OP is getting aimbotters confused with nerds.Concede should not exist, period!Alien commanders are lame, period. This feature alone keeps NS2 way behind NS1 in terms of replayability for me. That's what made NS1 unique to me. If I was in the mood for a quick game, I went Aliens. If I wanted something more involved, I went…I understand the reasoning behind concede, but I also believe that it eliminates great comebacks that made the most memorable NS games.
Honestly, if Marines are turtling in their base, it really doesn't take that long to save up for high…HAHAHAHAH. That's awesome.
