Try using a vortex torpedo on a warper. It will either get caught in the vortex for a period or be thrown at lightning speed across the area away from you. Very humerus to see!!!

I'm at the lava lakes in my Prawn at the Primary Containment facility...with the Sea Dragon Leviathan staring me down...in VR!!! My Cyclops is just around the corner...2 teleporters above me and about 8 lava lizards swimming around.

Glad to be of some help.
The FOV problem though isn't something I notice on my Rift. It isn't perfect and a bit zoomed in, but for me it's at least playable. I hope they can solve this for users who are experiencing it.
