This was started back when people thought it would just be an option on the menu. It's not even that anymore. It is in no way linked to main Subnautica aside from in theme, which I actually haven't seen mentioned here yet. -

It's not even going to be attached the main Subnautica as DLC anymore, it's its own thing now completely separate from the original Subnautica. -
Another new concept just got released on discord.

I wouldn't say that they're back just because of that. I'm hoping they're in but I don't think there's been any confirmation or deconfirmation. -

Actually if you read what Obraxis posted along side that image, you'd see that the Cyclops has actually been deconfirmed and probably won't be appearing in the expansion. -
Personally I'm fine with the current plans.
-
The Draconis was supposed to be in the same size class as the Cyclops.

Yeah the fan model does not meet their standards. It has a very high polycount and is pretty poorly optimized. And while I'm not a dev, there are a lot of things in general about the layout of the thing and other liberties the fan took with the mode…

It's not even fanmade. The "Beluga" as I think it's actually called, is an official sub concept that they probably won't ever add.
-
I don't think it'll be worth any more than $10 if they're aiming for a year of development.
-
I don't think you've ever been able to put Cuddlefish eggs in capsules. Could still put Cuddlefish themselves in though.

I'm really interested to hear new whatever their new sound person will do. -
From what they've been saying it seems like the expansion will probably end up taking about a year to make, so we should be hopefully getting at least a lot of new biomes and fauna, as well as new tech. They've said they probably won't add much of, …

The Rock Puncher isn't even confirmed though.
-
Even now they're still quite active on discord. It's just these forums that they don't often comment on.

I think this system still needs a lot more work done on it for it to be good.
It needs a better sorting system with more options like newest to oldest or oldest to newest, and highest ranking to lowest ranking or … -
The devs have confirmed that the glow whale is a test for that concept art.

All that I want are 45° variants of the basic tubes.

Spooky. -
I haven't seen it do anything ever. I really have no idea what it's for and why they never made it better.
-
I think there's a better chance of it being noticed if posted here or on the Subnautica Discord chat.
-
There are plenty of things I like about Subnautica or am fine with and will defend, especially ones that constantly have posts made about how they should be different. But there are still plenty of things I dislike about Subnautica, I just don't pos…

Does a pretty good job at making some areas murkier right, though I still feel that there are a few areas that aren't murky enough even with this mod on. Some like the Kelp Forest are nice and murky while others like the Jellyshroom or Lost River ar…

There'd have to be individual settings for the murkiness and light levels for each biome then. Because right now some look fine while some don't.
-
No that's a thing you've been able to do with every hostile animal for a long while now. Just hold a fish in your hand and you'll be safe from pretty much any biting attack.

It's not that basic multiplayer would be too much work at this point in development. It's good multiplayer that is polished and balanced that would be too much work at this point in development. So far that mod still seems like …

I think you might just want the game to be something it's not. Even early on it was never meant to be a super hard survival game with complex fighting mechanics. It's always wanted to be more about the exploration and enjoying the world (how well th…

That seems like a pretty big exaggeration. Minecraft got huge but as far as I know there still isn't any official modding support, yet there have been plenty of mods made over the years.
While mod support would be nice,… -

A fun addition yes, but not one that could happen for other reasons already mentioned in this thread. The devs would have added it by now if it was easy to. -
I think they should be more aggressive but in the way that they'll actually chase something down for a while unless attacked back or outran. Right now they'll go in for a bite and then turn around and leave, which doesn't make much sense.
