- .fev files are Fmod's 'index'-files. The sound data is stored in the .fsb-files. There's also the fmod project file .fdp
You cannot edit .fev or .fsb without the original .fdp files, which we don't have, so you need to make a new Fmod…

Great progress!

Right
Good job though. -
It's not that easy to replace the rifle with the sentry sound. For the sentries you only have:
sound/NS2.fev/marine/structures/sentry_fire_loop OR sound/NS2.fev/marine…

I'd like to read something about the new sound related stuff I've seen in several changelogs. Since we have the community tuts for Fmod implementation it would not be too much for you to write down as an addition...I guess...;)

Still looking for help in modeling/artwork!

Using the FSB Extractor works with maybe 40% of the files. The .fsb format by Fmod isnt really meant to be extractable for everyone (Fmod is a third party sound engine that NS2 uses).

Awesome. Both the idea and the implementation.
The buggy behavior seems to come from the voice recognition, not your code...does Dragonfly allow you to train the voice recognition for more accurate prediction?

Hm...when there is a 'switch to old soundcloud'-button on the bottom, try clicking that one. It's working for me as is though.

I also hope this is not dead.
I watched the video on the Workshop page two days ago, and somehow this melody (Soundcloud Link) jumped into my mind...so I made a mi… -
Yes and no. You can make your own sounds and implement them into a mod, but right now your mod won't pass the consistency checks - so servers won't let you join. I don't know if UWE is planning something in that area.

EDIT: Obsolete.

Nice, thx Rio. Only one thing, you confused the extensions of the Fmod build files. It's projectname.fev, not projectname.fdp (that's the project file).
And maybe you could add the last chapter that is about on the fly-tweaking the Fmod … -
Nice. You could add my audio specific tutorial if you wish. Maybe this thread is worth a sticky.

I forgot to copy one paragraph, it's added now (the last one).

You're welcome. Make sure to tell me if it worked, since I'm tired and may have forgotten something.

Ok I can't sleep anyways so I made this. The example is a pistol sound, you'll get the basics then. Try that first. Implementing a rifle sound is a little harder. Check the /lua/Weapons/Marine/Rifle.lua to see what is needed and check the NS2.fev to…

Yes. What do you know already/what do you not know? And is your C14 sound a single shot or a loop?
However, first you should go here and download version 4.38.00 (others may be problematic):

Yeah I didn't touch the sound at all, this is more about looping / pitch madness. The sound would work great in movies, played in a distance with reverb for example. It would have to be tweaked to sound good in a game, with more layers.
