When we did custom models in NS1, we left the hitboxes the same as the core game.
I guess if it has to be a mod, the server would have to run that mod as well. Therefore, it's not worth doing. -

I'm really pleased to see the HMG get added. I'm not sure how it plays in the game yet as it doesn't seem commanders have upgraded it often. Probably once people figure out where it fits in the meta, it'll probably see more use.

Is it out of the question to change some of the alien models like, for example, have a different skin for the fade that also features a different head model?

As someone who has spent $300+ in Warframe DLC, I have no problem supporting UWE if they release DLC skins or models.
UWE could use this money to produce new content, maps, gameplay modes, improvements, etc. -

I guess with AI commander, you'd have to have both teams go AI commander and not just one team because it might be unbalanced if only 1 team has AI Comm and the other team has a real comm. -
Kind of wish the commander could just be AI and we wouldn't have to worry about someone needing to go commander at the start of the round.

Yeah they need to do something. I went to play today and there was only 1 server that was active but it was full so I couldn't join. It sucks that one of my favorite games is pretty much dead. in NS2 Updates creating a 0.27% increase in players (half a person). What is the long-term plan? Comment by Daphisto October 2015

With all respect to the developers, NS2C had equivalent gameplay to dozens of free-to-play browser-based shooters. Using the existing NS2 assets (models, sounds, etc.) and still charging a $15 price tag seemed anti-consumer.

That's sweet. I can't wait for this to be completed. Eclipse was a classic map in NS1 but seemed to fade away pretty quickly after it launched for NS2.
