Imo first thing to do is making 2 different game types. like the old "tournament mode" in ns1, but with much wider differences.
TF2 for examples has many game types, and the rookies are ok with them, as long as they know there are differences… -

probably is not that, but check your cpu/mobo temperatures while playing.
i got a lot of crashes because of high temp i get when i play ns2, as it's very cpu intensive -
same here, big stuttering in dx11, and little frame drop (like 50fps average vs 60-65fps in dx9).
with ogl dropped from 155 to 105 fps in the menu, so didn't try to use it in game.

hdd is fine, it's a caviar black. OS is on the same hdd, on a different partition.

After some play, the only thing i really can't stand is the skulk movement.
that sort of easy bunnyhop has no sense and the reaction of the skulk is too slow. seems like beeing an elefant in Sewlek's Beta Test Mod Comment by Cico March 2013 -
talking of -most- public play, i think the problem is the lack of res. almost no one want's to buy a shotty or any weapon because you have to run the 75 res and buy the dual exo in order to try to win a game.

I have a place in tram readyroom i always check to see (big) fps changes between versions.
build 237 had ~139 fps
build 238 had ~75fps
build 239 had ~135 fps

using vsync with triple buffering you can have all the fps you want, not bounded to monitor refrashrate.

i was expecting to read a lot of complaints about the massive fps drop that anyone is experimenting and yelling about in the server i was playing right now..
does that happen only to some of us? -
Same here. Already posted in the tech forum, but anyway: dropped from ~120 fps in readyroom to ~80 fps
same map, same spot. I do that every new build.
In game can't even touch the 50fps in empty rooms. and goes down to ~30 most of the ti… -
