Well, I know there will always be anomalies, but this one is pretty severe and he/she wacks out force even or any sort of balance that uses hive skill ratings. At time of writing, this player wins 2.42 of games. Has a K:D of 7.01 (amazingly playin…

A lot of this is typically used more in the "late game" period of "long" games. You'll probably see these more whenever you find yourself in a game that has been going on for over 25-30 minutes.

These CPU specs aren't good enough to run anywhere near 30 tick on a 18 player server.

I've also noticed what you're describing in this build. It felt like constant hitching... or constant micro rubber-banding. Through experimentation, I came to the same general finding you did with regards to adaptive vsync. Tha… -
Dunning-Kruger effect sometimes makes all this so tough.
For example, I've experienced it where I try and command (min… -
I understand what you're saying, but maybe try and find another server where people are more willing to play, regardless of side. It's a bit harder to find, but once you find a server like that, you'll find people joining up rather than sitting in …

I know it's been a while, and you might have found the solution already, but it appears that it was moved to under the settings section rather than it's own section.
This is what I think it used to be: (Quote) -
I'm sure it can be programmed through one of the admin modules.
If you run Shine, you might be able to simply enable ELO restrictions. -
Agreed! Can't tell you how many times I've died because of this.

I don't think it's harsh. The rule is simple:
"Players with more than 100 hours of game time can only command or spectate."
The way I see it, they're paying the bills, and providing maintenance and support. So..… -
Really great idea, and I commend you for trying to help out new players! I know I struggle with my competitiveness sometimes on other servers when a game gets going, and there are some newer players who can definitely affect and sway the team's pot…

@ritualsacrifice, I think the main issue here is $$$.@Gliss, look at my post above to see a color profile for the Asus VG248QE.(Quote)
I have to agree that the most value would be spent keeping your current CPU... and upgrading your GPU (although you haven't mentioned what your GPU is... and, thus, we are making the assumption that you are currently GPU limited).<…(Quote)
May not necessarily be as easy as you make it to be when you're commanding pub players with more than the standard competitive match of 5 players on the marine side, as a commander will likely have to be going back and forth to man…(Quote)
I like the game mechanic as well, but maybe bring back the ability to beacon all people back to life, like in NS1? I haven't read why this mechanic was removed (and I'm sure there is good reasoning behind it), but I always remembe…(Quote)
I like the idea in the above quote...Or at the very least, text above or on the gorge tunnel that states where it leads to.
Hey, it sounds cool, since I'm from Vancouver...just that time is hard to come by these days. I am also a coach of a youth sport team, which takes up even more time.
In any case, if I can't make it on-site ever, maybe I can connect and p…@IronHorse - Any updates? Seems like there are many other related posts.

My temporary band-aid is to change the audio device within NS2's options menu, apply, and then change it back, then …Might the FPS be roughly the same, but the lag might actually be "jitter"?
http://forums.unknownworlds.com/discussion/130532/80-fps-feels-like…I've experienced this as well. Using a CM Storm mouse. I'll add that I've checked my fps at that point, and my fps will be anywhere from 45-60 frames per second, but it looks and feels like half of that. When not experiencing this issue, when my …Experienced this issue as well. Reading the posts above, I can note that DAK was on the server.I find it amusing when posts regarding rookie servers or experienced players/pros playing on rookie-friendly servers pop up and what they should be or should have.
