Decide on a selling price
Allright, basically I've seen console and game bundles doing very well on Ebay, and I've decided that as much as I love my GC, I really really need a new pc (and connection, but that's a different story). So I'm selling my console, games, and accessories in a bundle. My hope is I can tell you lot what I'm selling, and you guys can figure out a good selling price for Ebay or something. Everything is in nice working condition, no scratches etc., but nothing is mint.
Game Cube (Black)
24 games (Including the Ocarina of Time/Master Quest)
A 6 inch portable LCD screen w/ Speakers for the Game Cube (Note that this still costs 150 dollars in major retail stores)
A normal black controller
A wave bird
Two Memory cards (Three if I ever find my first one)
Honestly, I'm not very good at judging value, so if anyone would be kind enough to appraise, that would help. If a list of the games is needed, I can provide.

Sad to hear you'er giving up the cube and potential Metal Gear: The Twin Snakes, and (in the future) Metroid Prime 2, Wind Waker 2 ownage.
But you should probably list the games you have as since its 24 of them that could change the price by a few hundred dollars.
Also look at what's already there on eBay. People are selling Gamecube bundles all the freakin time.
Though I still highly suggest you find your $200 or so somewhere else.
don't sell that.
You realy can't get much for selling ussed games and stuff.
Get a(nother) Job and get those extra $$ some other way.
You will kick your self very hard over ditching all of that.
Oh, and the reason why people do bundles is b/c they realy just wana get rid of the items they are selling. Generaly when you sell a bundle you give a big discount.
aka: Your gona sell off all you cube stuff, and come out with considerably less $$ then you put in. Reason for this is b/c most people are not gona want every single item your selling, they just want a few of them, thus they don't wana pay for all of the items.
If you in highschool or younger, just convince your parents to let you do chores around the house for $$ (things they normaly wouldn't have you do, be it cleaning bathrooms, mowing the lawn, trimming hedges, washing their cars, etc etc)
rawr, have to love the link guy.
If you want some cash, I'd just get rid of the LCD.
Put that as the reserve or starting price then let people bid it up from there....thats how auctions work.
However if the amount you need is less than the amount you think the GC is worth then get it another way.
For example you could sell most of your games if you're sick of them. But keeps the GC and the ones you love. Also, the lcd screen would probably get about $90 if you don't desperatly need that.
You'd be surprised what some people will pay for some stuff. I've seen GBA's going on Ebay UK for £80 and they're £82 new in the shops....
You can always buy the old games back again cheaper in a few months if you ever want to play them again and you'll still have the GC to play them on.
Also, how are you getting your PC? Pre-built or building your own. you could save about 1/2 your cash if you build it yourself and put your old monitor, HDD etc in it.
So basically work out how much cash you need then see if you need to sell all of it.
If you need any help getting components together to build your own pc i'm sure me and the rest of the forum would be happy to point you in the right direction.
Personaly, I havn't seen anything come out recently that was realy to die for.
If the game is realy THAT good, everyone will still be playing it by the time you get the $$ (what are you going to get paid this summer? and do you live at home/have any bills you have to pay?).
Honestly, I would hang onto it all, or at most sell of the games you realy don't like.
And as Doomeh said:
MG:TTS, Metroid'2, WW2 etc.
Failing that, go to your nearest Game and/or EB and check out their PREOWNED prices. Use that value as your guide.
Second, if your first auction FAILS, don't be afraid to break it up... but make CERTAIN you keep some good games with the Cube itself, and if you've any crap games either bundle one or two with the Cube, or sell them in 2 pack bundles with a better game.
Otherwise you'll end up with the 5 crappiest games STILL sitting on your shelf in a year's time.
You won't be able to get enough cash to buy a good PC w/ just selling that. Hell you wouldn't even get enough for the video card.
Gamecube isn't going away any time soon man, the next 3 consoles (Xbox2, PS3, N5) are all gonna be out around 2006. Already a new Mario title, Wind Waker 2, Metroid Prime 2 are confirmed, and there's always more gems that may pop up at any time.
The main thing is though you just probably won't get nearly as much money as what you put into it (or other people put into it it was mostly gifts). You may as well keep it so you have SOMETHING to do until you can afford that new pc...
Well, this response is pretty poorly organized and disjointed, but I don't really feel like re-arranging it. Those were my thoughts on the subject, as they happened.
Edit: Don't know why I'm turning this into an argument, I guess I got the selling advice I need.
/me shudders.
I realy can't stand dells.
If you gona be making a decent chunk of $$ over the summer I suggest actuly making a very good computer (thus it will last you for a while), and you know the rule: Build it and you can save on everytihng.
keep the cube, sell some of the old games.
save for and buy parts
I personally don't have one (I'm using one at work now though) and I think they're perfectly adequate pieces of kit, that just aren't optimised by default for gaming.
Dell isn't bad (Laptops are great) but really there are better ways to get a desktop pc.
I'm assuming you have a PC now. You could get a barebones system of a much higher spec for the same price and plug your current monitor, speakers, keyboard, mouse etc into it. You'd get a much better pc for your money.
Of course you can always build your own for even cheaper. But i understand that some people don't want to take the risk. So a barebones system if probably your best choice. Definatly shop around though. I'm sure some american posters would have some advice on where to look for a good barebones system.
Try newegg.com, that is where I ordered my computer parts in June 2003. The prices are good, and they ship fast. I got a very nice case with LED, side window with fan for only $60. I really suggest you build your own custom machine that satisfies all your needs instead of buying some complete system.
