Converting Cs 1.6 Models?

DominatoRDominatoR Join Date: 2002-11-02 Member: 4105Members
It seems the cs 1.6 models only come left handed. The conversion tutorial by darkkiz works great for converting 1.5 era models, but 1.6 only gives left handed v models (I can get them in NS, but only as left handed).

So is there a way to make them right handed without a bunch of fumbling around with milkshape, deleting this and moving that? Or would I need to change the actual v models to flip them to the right hand?

isnt there a option in the game to make it right handed? like you press H in game and a little menu pops up it should be in there but thats only in game
you can try using a mirror tool but im not sure if milkshap has that but 3dsmax does

This option you are referring to, is that in CS only, or will it work for NS?

that won't work, bones won't be included, therefore animations will be off...

Standard CS Models are Right-Handed, the game flips the model itself.
There is a model flipper .exe out on the net for old 1.5 Left-Hand models.
There are two ways of conversion:
1 - Easier way... use of CS model with faster/slower and renamed animations to match NS'.
2 - Hard way... bone reassignment, this is only good for pistol models, unless you get your hands on custom NS animations, otherwise it's a pain in the **** to convert NS arms to CS animations.

Default CS models are left-handed; I think you got it mixed up there, as the 1.5 models were right-hand default.

Mirror the gun model, apply to NS arms, reanimate. Only easy way to do it. Sometimes you may be able to find someone who has some custom anims with the NS arms (BrigadierWolf has some awesome stuff for his AR. Ask him.) that will more or less match up with what you want.

I haven't used this model flipper, does it switch left -> right also or does it only do right -> left? Wouldn't make much sense if it only does one and not the other, but still worth a shot.
