I think ya want these firing sounds(they need little bit to be fixed to be suitable for continius or burst fire thought, also from avp2, movie sounds. also its in rar cause zip would been 121 k, just 1 k over the limit....). Anyone not like the animations? Odd, noone said that in my thread with their original release.
By the way, for those of you with chronic vision problems, get a friend with 20 20 vision to use the convenient search function to uncover my full pack which includes working alien v models and player models for ALL alien classes.
That'll look a bit nicer than the normal kharaa models until such time as the improved pack is released.

I like the little ridges on the back of the models now, nice touch. Shame the runner is black, I prefer the one coloured like the AvP model. But thats me. Gorge inner mouth is a bit bright compared to it's v-model (both yours and mine).
I think I'll be using these now on, except the runner (because I'm a sad man who loves the red runner). Hehe, actually I've hackjobbed my v models already, since they just use the runner teeth and hands in most cases!
I bet you could just switch the textures over, although I don't see how you can possibly like a brown alien along with the other black ones.
Just seems too out of place in my opinion, and the only brown one I've seen in the movies is the one Ripley sort of produced in Resurrection. Her genes anyways.

Here are the louder walking sounds. They are 400% louder than those ripped from AvP2 so it should be loud enough, but not too loud as to give away the position of a skulk (unless the sound it drowned out by something else). Tell me if it's still too quiet.
Great work Hitman. For my part, I have no trouble hearing the footsteps. I hear them just enough. I think they greatly enhenced the atmosphere for when I'm playing marines. With the originals sounds and my headphones, I could pinpoint EXACTLY the location of the skulk. Now, it's sounds more "vague". On the models : great work. I especially like the onos. Very well done. The queen hive is good looking too. The only one that bothers me a little is the fade. He seems to "tight" if I can say. I don't know if it is possible, but do you think animating the tail is possible ? Not just going a little back and forth, but making circles and big 0. I don't know if you can picture what I'm saying.

An upate coming along: I've reskinned every model but Gorge and Onos... after a quick break I will tackle them. I've centered the head skin on all models, as well as added 5% (10% in some cases) blue tint to all textures, fixed Drone chest glitch, and fixed up a new head skin that suits the contrast/tint better, and looks really neat (still not a final version, though). Also, all models are 5% brighter so you don't find yourself seeing a black blob running accross the screen, you can see a lot of the exoskeletal bones/bluish tint in some dark areas.
Edit: Also, I made the egg darker and a bit bluer, to look like it does from Alien and Aliens.
great pack man i just tried it and it made NS 1000000 times scary especialy when i turned down the gamma and brightness i hear them near me but i dont see them IM SO SCARED!!

Tempest was playing in the background as I walked slowly, looking around, listening for sounds.
Not a damned thing.
Then I went trough some doors that lead me into a very dark room with a neonlight turning most of the room blue. Behind some walls in a pitch black shadow I hid.
I heard some alien footsteps, held on tight to my mouse and didn't move an inch, trying to spot a potential cloaked alien walking towards me.
Not a damned thing.
As I breathed out in relief, A sudden "CRACK!" followed by a hiss struck me through my head, as I just died to a runner who bit me from above with a focused bite.

Also, I fixed an annoying transparency glitch on the Drone model where a line along its chest would appear transparent.
