Gwahir - You're still trying, but it seems there's no accessable input devices at the corridor, they're all blocked too. However, you find out what's happening as you are able to recieve some signals from the marine team calling the bomber.
Rest - You run forward. Terran doesn't get far though, as the aliens overrun him and rips him to pieces. You get a weak response on the radio, it seems there's a connection. "...recie....awai....nger". 150 meters to hanger waypoint, the aliens are slowly closing in on you after taking out Terran.
*Drops his empty shotgun with no ammo remaining to shoot and runs like hell, screaming over the comms for the Bomber to lock onto our signal and give us a hand ASAP* "Holy Frelling Christ Man!! RUN!" {Over Voicecomm} "343, 344, whoever the hell AI's there are, can you guys give us a hand?! Maybe lock down a security door behind us to stop these things?!" This is getting ugly, poor terran.
[Finally, after spending a while scanning and searching, you establish a link with the bomber communication system.]
Ceanjia: "Nah, I don't think I'll do that. This is fun. Heehee."
Khaim is going along nicely, quite a lot faster than he should be able to actually. Shade, however, isn't far from being caught by the aliens because he can't run properly without his leg.
50 meters to go, you can see a door that should lead to the hanger.
*Continues sprinting along towards the door as fast as possible, breathing heavily.* "God... damn it... I knew these... legs would... come in handy..." [Cycles through the comm channels again, asking for the Bomber to make an emergency docking, very very quickly.] "Cean... I hope... you die..."
*floats through the corridors watching the remaining squad members* "Come on, guys! You can do it! Get out of there!" *turns to the others floating with him, Erin, Gwahir, Ed and all the others who died on this suicide mission. I suddenly notice a new face in the small crowd* "Terran, I'm sorry, mate. Without you and Wynola covering their backs, they'll probably be dead soon. I'm not angry at you, there was no way you could've stopped them, I think this is the end of our squad." *turns back to watch the gruesome end* Rather morbid, don't you think?
Khaim reaches the door, opening it. Behind is the empty hanger. The large airlock door is closed. However, just as you enter and run into the room, with the skulks biting happily at Shade's armor, the room shakes. You see the tell-tale spikes of a TSA docking vessel crushing through the armor of the ship, opening an access hole through the hull. There's roughly 50 meters to the hole, but the aliens are already flowing through the door. Doesn't look like Shade can make it limping along like this, but Khaim shouldn't have any problems outrunning the skulks.
[You get there. It doesn't seem like the bomber's systems even care to try to stop you]
*Stops for only a second to empty my last remaining pistol clip at the skulks.* "Sorry mate, but no ammo!" *Turns back and runs for the hole, yelling back to NightShade.* "If it was me, I'd shoot myself!" Only survivor, heh, oh well, end of the AG series anyway.
my character didn't exactly accomplish much either. either one.
*Merc's voice* "Hey bomber guy! Finish the station already!" [I attempt to maintain the integrity of the bomber against any damage]
The aliens overrun Shade completely, like they did to Terran. There's not going to be much left to identify if anyone ever gets here.
Khaim reaches the docking ship. He watches as the ship takes off, not bothering to seal the hole. A wave of aliens are sucked through the gap before the station manages to auto-seal the area, then it goes still except for the explosions from the bomber slowly taking the place apart.
[Bomber isn't taking damage right now]

I might be starting another RPG running partly like this one, with the players being a team (rather than the earth-style game with everyone being at different places. I like both styles, so I'd be cool to have one of each going). I'm planning on finding a setting that promotes more roleplaying and more battle tactics and strategy. With enough planning, yeah I think it could work, by the way, is there still any need to write in bold for OOC text here? *Does the moonwalk in a suit of HA inside the bomber before sitting down and strapping in.* Just had to do that... ^_^

Well thanks, good to know you like it as much as I do.
Haven't got the plotline for the next game completely ready yet, but some cyber-punk thing probably. Think I could get quite a good game out of that.
I'd like you to comment on this game. One of the things I've realized is that I've yet to find a DM where I couldn't point out the first one or two major flaws, and I'm pretty sure I'm not flawless either. Just can't find those flaws just like that, so I need a bit of input from you guys, what do I need to fix?
... your dice... just kidding, heh, not a lot too wrong with your DMing that I can think of, just sometimes you take a long time between posts, but that can't really be helped, so, whatever.
Yeah, sorry about that. But I'm afraid real life is one of the few things I can't fix. I try, but it's kind of impossible
Damn. I liked this character. I spent two and a half guardposts building him up
Anyway, yeah, I have to agree with Khaim here - you're a great DM, it's just the length of time between posts.
Oh, and for curiosity's sake...were you using something like Warhammer's system, or a D20-like system?
Basically a kind of improvised d20 system. When something was happening, I figured out how much it would take to do well, rolled a d20, added the stat of the character, found out how the result fitted the difficulty and came up with something that fitted. For instance, when Shade tried to weld out that piece of the vent to block the alien progress, I figured that'd take at least 10 to get working. When the dice came up on a two and shade has a -5 in engineering, it just had to go horribly wrong. So mainly, I use the dice for inspiration and to figure out when things work and when they fail, rather than having a fixed system.
Could do that
But really, charging into a ship that had been infested with kharaa for an hour, doing so in a place that was under the control of a hostile A.I., and ignoring that you knew there was draug on the station, just had to have some consequences. I'll kill off fewer characters next time, but I won't allow the characters to start acting like they're invincible
