It’s not hard to make 3 marines start in a map (I think)...
There fore I believe you guys should make 3 marines start so aliens can't always rush threw and kick ****...

No, they don't have to relocate and waist money and time...n what if like they died while they were relocating ?(they have no ip yet)
they don't have to remake all maps, if your a bit familiar to hammer, you'd see they only have to make 2 more rooms with or with out doors,tunnels...
so it's easy to add 2 more rooms...
here's the problem, the patch would contain all ns maps reworked(3 cc) so the patch would be about 50 mb big...or something like that.
ya and skulk rush works 1/2 of the times alien use it, the other half is when like some skulk just don't join it or explore the map or and totally buz or nubz...or they went gorg... <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
i'm just wondering when will Flayra finish his work on that flame thrower their adding...(if ur tottaly shocked look at the FAQs)
lol hl engine is barely handeling the maps man if u try to open any of them in hammer, 1rst u have to wait like 30 sec to finish loading then it lags baddly when u click on things or walk in 3d mode...
-no worrys halflifers, i hl2 can handle up to 8x what hl engine can handle now
(Which it will, there is no getting around it, the time they spend doing this for each map, and setting any and all necessary entities would be time that could be spent on other things, like finishing of version 3.0. <b>No matter how much time it takes them, it is still time they could use for other purposes.</b> )
Okay assuming that it isn't wasting time however, <b><i>answer me this; Why? Why do marines actually need 3 start locations?</i></b>

Honestly though, I am intrigued that you think we need it. I've thought of having multiple marine starts before, but it always seemed like a useless idea and I never bothered to back it.
Marines : Slow, but powerful in groups. Static spawn area, but able to relocate to ANY area in the map for a new spawn location. That means 8+ locations a commander can relocate to. If the starting area gets locked by aliens, commanders can relocate to other areas.
Aliens : Fast and powerful individually. 3 spawn areas. However, these locations are <b>fixed</b>. Meaning they can't relocate the hive to another area at all. Only 3 static locations, no way to move them. Meaning a commander locks it down, you can't take it back without destroying it first.
As for the 3 ms idea..well mainly the maps just aren't big enough, and even if they were it would be hell for the mapper to balance.
