gg NS. Say hello to CS Retail when you get to selloutville. Just now I find out the reason I've been waiting so god damn long for 3.0 to come out is that flayra is saving it for a retail release. Way to treat your fanbase.

Back to the point, if they are releasing NS retail, they'd better treat their beta testers. Yes, playing NS is fun and finding bugs usually isn't. When you start betatesting something with a community, it becomes a community project. It's that simple, if you go ahead and steal the communities work in finding bugs and call it you're own and just write off their payment as the fun they had while betatesting you're really going to make people angry. Authors put work into the project (probably more than anyone else) but without a playerbase they're lost to finding bugs and producing a quality anything. So, to make things short and sweet, you can ask for betatesters but you'd better provide them with something at the end of the day or you're going to have an auful lot of people angry at you.
Delusions of granduer for a dev team, or really any team, will destroy what they were creating. I'v seen it happen over and over and over. I like NS's consept and I'd like to see it developed well into HL2 or into a brand new game..
If you guys need money, ask for donations, don't dance around the bush with BS. People will see the direct result of the money they give in a better quality game.

On a simliar note....this sounds suspiciously like the tone in the dod boards when valve 'aquired' the DoD team.
As of yet I have heard no plans for NS to go retail but if Flayra decided to do so, I would be behind his decision 110% If he can make a career out of Game design, Then I would expect nothing else.
