Your 'squad 5' Moment

You know about 'Squad 5' right? The most elite of all the TSA who are able to take on a onos with a salt shaker. Anyways everyone have their 'Squad 5' moments, and here's one of mine.

After a failed siege attempt I was alone in a hallway with no ammo. This is when I met up with mister Skulk. So I whipped out my knife, he back away not sure what to do. Then he charged right at me, I jump and slice his back when he went under. Then I did a double waltz strafe jump oglie 180 and caught him again with my knife. And finally he came at me again but I added one huge steel tooth to his teeth collection. So anways my commander was impressed and decided to drop a phase gate and attempt the hive assault again. So it was me alone, no ammo, and it was up to me to bring this hive down. All I needed to do is drop this phase gate. Easy right? So I begin building the phase gate and everything went smoothly up untill I hear the silent hiss of a fade. But I only need 2 more ticks to complete this phase gate!

So here I am jumping like a moron trying to finish this phase gate. Fortunately the gate was completed right at the moment when the Fade decided to **** claw me and about 10 marines all phased in at once. Well you guys know what happen when everyone phase in at once, right? Lets just say there was alot of '/stuck' on the screen. And they all went after the Fade. But wait a minute, this Fade **** claw me like a play thing. I dont play that sort of game! So I went after him and stab that little SOB and down he went!

So I phase back into base, tried to get ammo, but I kinda slipped and fell down the elevator shaft. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'> <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'> <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'> Not exactly a heroic death but hey you have to admite I was lucky to last that long.

having the aliens slaughter our base with 5 oni as we kill there last hive in HA and upgrades in mass

then having 5 onos come down the long corridor from auxilary generators to generator hive and killing 3 of them with one shotgun clip due to POD and no upgrades, and having the other two get mopped up as well ending a very long game

Brave or stupid its squad 5,

Onos on elevator going down to foreboding, instead of safty shooting it from up top i jump down and blast it with me lmg. Meanwhile furion is up top blasting it with his lmg. Onos gores me, Furion hops down and slits its throat.

4 vanilla skulks as a vanilla marine (early game, no upgrades for anyone).

me and another guy walking down the hall. the skulk pops around the corner, he gets a couple lmg shots off before he dies. i finish off that skulk. another skulk pops out, i kill him. a third comes, i hear click on my lmg, whip out my pistol and finish him off. i hurt the next one with my pistol before its dry, then having no choice, i whip out my knife, and we faced off. he charged in, i got a knife hit, he bit me. another pass. i crouched, he missed and i killed him. the comm gave me a shotty after that <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'>

another... soloed an onos to death w a shotty and a jp... it was in one of the big open hives on lost... dunno the name.

and ive killed 8 skulks in a row on a shotty too <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'>

theres a lot of guys out there who do this on a regular basis... but thats one of MY greatest moments.

ooooh and i have another. there were five of us (heavies) attacking eclipse command. one of us died cause he was a nub. we just finished it and were headed to comp core when the onos got there. two of us had gone down the long hallway, and me and another guy had gone around the other way. well, mr onos devours one of the guys, decides to run cause the other one's hmg is hurting too much. he runs out of the tunnel, right into me and my bud. we finished him off, and i got a gl kill on an onos <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'>

aaaah... and one more...

on hera, the room w the boxes after hera reception. we just killed a skulk and drove the other off. im in the corner close to holoroom reloading when the fade comes. the rest of my teammates shoot him, he slashes one, hits another once and then decides its time to leave. by then my lmg is reloaded, and i let loose on him. no more fade <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'>

thats really how you kill higher life forms... they're gonna run whenever their health hits a certain point, regardless of how many marines it takes to get them down to that. if you're waiting along their retreat route, you can finish them off.

yeah these arent super "elite" soloing... but they're<u> <b>squad</b> </u>5 moments allright... great teamwork that allowed us to kick serious arse

Well one of the more humourous moments was when I was one of 4 marines left, no base, some ammo, all ha, no welders except for me.... an onos decided to come into our base, and the other 3 were pounding it with hmg fire, while I decide to go and <i>weld</i> the onos to death.... guess who got the kill?

Strangely enough I timed it afterwards and it only takes 12 seconds with lvl 3 which you probably have if you turtle.... so if you see an onos pull out the welders, he'll think "wt.." and try and eat you all while you and your other 6 friends weld an onos down... <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'>

yeah one game, the entire team was gorges ... and I killed them all with a knife, no ammo

unplaned 0/0 rush to alpha hive. we get there it is all clear so we lmg the hive down. all of the other team came to save the hive. i was the last man standing and my very last shot killed the hive.

same map game starts i go and hide by data core in the dark hallway just out side and above the dobble rez. i step outside for a smoke and when i get back i see that the hive is going up. pg tf and one hell of a fight (the hive finshed building as i started building the pg) we get the hive down (had to beacone 3 times) and then move out side data and siege vent. gg.
see smokeing is not all bad. my team went from not being able to get out of base do to hive on 1 side and wol on the other to winning. yea all luck that i was not found while i was smokeing but it was still fun.

On lost, a HA train goes to take out their last hive (Alpha). As the hive is going down we are informed that our main base in Cargo hive is going down. Some HAs wander back to base only to get killed by skulks. Myself and the remaining 2 HAs get the hive down and watch all the aliens die as the ping starts.

Then the ping stops <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /> .

3 aliens left.

So we haul arse over to cargo to find a hive building, we take it down. Still no ping. We make our way to Equilibrium, hive building; we take it down. Still no ping.

This continues for a good 20 - 30 minutes, us killing another 4 hives and 2 of the 3 aliens in the process.
Now, we are low on ammo and Cargo is building again.
We make our way there and start welding it when a skulk comes up and I fire my last shottie round and miss.
Rather irritated, I drop my shottie and chase him with my welder. We have a nice little duel and one of the HA screams over voice comm "USE YOUR KNIFE".
I pull out my knife and with one quick slash I take him out, ending the game.

The 3 of us all survived.
50 HMG rounds and an empty shotty between us.
All of us below 50 health, me without any armour left.
It was close, but we did it.

Spammed nades at a group of men who were being torn apart by 5-7 skulks (I think six, but I'm not quite sure, it only ever shows 4 kills, and I didn't have time to check), and as the last one falls all the nades went off, killing every skulk, then watching a gorge walk through the explosions and charge it with my knife (my GL and pistol were empty, it's hard to get one of those to the front lines when you're just learning to use it right) took that out, with help of comm medspam, and then ran with my tail between my legs to the nearest armory. (I am not a good knifer, for any who dont' know, so I like ammo....it's my friend)

Edit: I would put up more, but just go search for other awesome NS moments, and you can find them already down.

OO i got another one, I'll make this one short, some lerk (back in 1.04) was trying to kill me, i battled it down for a while to enough i saw it going to retreat, so i chased and with only 10 health left i lept off a cliff and landed on its back in mid air as it tried to fly away. I shot that mofo all the way to the ground. YOU ARE SQUAD 5.

i actually knifed 3 oni once (my greatest achievement in both sides of ns). they were cumming towards me and i exhausted my lmg and pistol on da 1st 1. then i whiped out da knife and crouched under him. he was all confused with me gone and his screen shaking so he just stands there getting killed. i finally killed him and started wildly dancing with da next onos. by sum divine intrivine i killed him. i start to tangle with da next onos but a skulk runs along and starts to fite me too. so i try to kill da skulk 1st but da onos always seems to blok me. then i slash da skulk wile he bites me but it turns out that ur wep shakes with ur screen as da onos died instead of da skulk who i aimed at. da comm is like "OMG i have uber "elite" ninja on my team!!!" and medspams me (thank god i had 3 hp left) and i killed da skulk too. then i start reloading my weps but i again have 3 hp left. a gorge pops in and spits me to death as again i have 3 hp and 0 armor and was reloading at da time. every1s laughing and da gorge is like "who da man!!! i slew "elite" ninja!!!" i have to say it was really luck but i still got hailed as a hero.

another time i sucessfully knifed a hive to death as a jp. i was in comp core and just flew up to hive cuase no1 was in it. i started knifing. then a few skulks **** but i jet away and manage to kill 1 mid-flite. then i land on hive and start knifing again. by this time a guy evolved to lerk and started sporing. comm medspammed me and i kept knifing. i killed da hive and flew to end of da room. all da aliewns on da team rushed at me and comm dropped me gl 4 my last stand. i picked it up and luked down at my feet. da skulks were practically on top of me now so i jetted up and fired. they all died but da lerk spored me. he had da arrogance to fly to point blank range and spike me so i just fired 3 nades at my feet in rapid succesion and killed both of us. game ended and every1 praised me.

The second most hard to pull off kills are welder kills, you have to actually touch the hitbox with your hull, and aim perfectly, I got an onos, a bunch of skulks, and a gorge or two.... heheh

The MOST hard to pull off kills are leap kills, got the last marine of the game while leaping around with cloaking and silence, I hit him in the head just as I was crapping my pants cause he was hmg 3/3, but he had little health... dead rine, it was a rofllolz moment for the marines except the one that I nailed with leap....

Anyone seen a charge kill before? It says Damage: Enormous or something, but I've never seen one

Onos coming to Biodome destroys nearly everything but doesnt want do die everyone shoots at him and he suddenly has enough. So i run after him and emptying my last clip of ammo. I take out the pistol and shoot but he doesnt want to die. No ammo in the LMG! No ammo in the pistol! Everyone shouting dont let him flee through the elevator. The f***** elevator starts to go up and I jump through at the last moment knifing the panic Onos who thought he got away with a lot of luck.

After a relocate aat generator which was overrun by skulks i was the only one getting away with a shotty. while the skulks started to bite the commchair into little pieces I ran as fast as I could to Cargo. I closed the door behind me but a Skulk wanted to get through. One second befor he could get in I shot him. Well, 20 shots left. I?m running as fast as I can to Cargo, knowing that we can?t win this one any more. But I won?t let them win too easy. Another Skulk crosses my way but doesnt see me. Finally I arrive at Cargo just to find a new Skulk facing me. In the moment he jumps I pump 3 shells into him.<img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif'> <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/skulk.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='skulk.gif'> 17 left... Ok now they know that I am here... I shout for Orders and the Commander builds a CC at the right side of the hive. well my moment as the "elite" squad 5 was killing 8 skulks with a shottie then with my last four shots i took out a fade who had already ran into a turret farm and was retreating but hey it was a good moment in the life of the TSA's most elite group <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'>

Game on NS_mineshaft. Game starts, first thing I do is run out of base toward sewer. Before I'm halfway there, 2 skulks run up to me between the elevator and caf. I kill one, hurt the other, and then die. I report back "hive is sewer"

Comm gives me a shotgun, and tells me to "distract the aliens at sewer" while he goes to build gen, tram, refinery and the other resnodes on the other side of the map. So I go, with 2 marines behind me. I make it to caf, with one bite. I killed about 3 skulks, and my teammates 2 on the way. One of my teammates has died. I decided to take the back road to sewer (on the right side of the hive) instead of heading toward computer core. I run into another skulk, and blast him with the shotgun. I stay just inside the turn alcove where sewer is, and reload, looking at the very bottom tip of the hive. 2 skulks rush out from the top, trying to kill me and my remaining teammate, two shotgun shells end them. I step a bit futher foward, and shoot the hive 3 times. I go back, reload. More skulks try to ambush. I kill the, shoot the hive 3 times, reload again. I hear my teammate (watching my back) firing. he kills a skulk coming at him. I shoot the hive a few more times, reload, and call for ammo. The guy behind me starts shooting again, and kills another skulks, then I hear *chomp*, my friend got hit and *chomp* again, dead. I swivel around, and manage a half-shot on teh skulk. Luckily, he was already half dead, so that finished him off. I quickly turned around just in time to see another skulk coming from the front. Bang, dead also. I camped there shooting the hive 3 times/reloading and shooting varius skulks. I had basically been spawnkilling them, and there were only 3 left alive after all their rushes. My ally had made it back by now, and all 3 rushed all at once. I wouldn't call the hallway there exactly long, so: first blast, dead skulk, 2 skulks close.... 2nd blast, dead skulk, last skulk on top of me, AHHH *bite* I get hurt, but my allies LMG kills him. YES. Recieved a medpack and more ammo. shot sewer hive a few more time: 500, 300, 100, DEAD! yes!

I just about soloed a hive, with level 0 shotguns, and level 0 armor. ^_^

Ok yes, so the alien team wasn't that good at skulking, so shoot me =p.

Ultimate conclusion? Shotguns = win

Hehehe, funny gl moments

1. Skulk leap/xenos at me while I'm in ha... *fwoomp* nade to the face and he dies... he was like "WTH HAX0R NUB OMG BANHAXOR1elevenone!"

2. Last marine standing in via at ns_nothing. JP, I fly to catwalk and wait for the skulks to come, they don't... instead a lerk comes up and starts spiking.... I shot it down with the gl mid air....

Fade comes and lands next to me... *boom, boom, boom, boom* Fade down

Lerk boosts onos onto catwalk and he eats me, the proceeds to jump off only to worldspawn himself, freeing me...

Skulk xeno rush eventually kills me, but it was funny....

Point blank shotties with jp are good, especially against skulks

lol i killed 10 skulks i may have got a med pack or two and some extra ammo before they came in and some of them were weak but it was ultimate ownage by me, so the comm gave me a shotgun when we got a base up

Of course people exaggerate in these threads. They're war stories! They're ALWAYS exaggerated!

Anyway, I had one of these moments fairly recently. I'm pretty sure we were on Hera, and in that big room with all the catwalks and a few levels and such...I'm very bad with names in this game. Anyway, we were trying to hold a resource node that we'd lost a couple times before, and the room it was in had a window to the big room, allowing any skulk easy entry. There are about 5 of us crammed in this room, trying to get a PG up while staying alive (although we ended up waiting a while, as our comm hadn't researched it yet). It's decided that a couple should defend while the rest build. We hadn't anticipated the fact that one of our fellow comrades carried a nasty parasite (as I learned from him later). We didn't go very long before skulks started to pour into the room. I, with my trusty shotgun, am facing the window where these skulks are entering. Sporadically for a couple minutes, skulks leaped and crawled into the room, only to be stopped cold. In total, probably about 12 jumped in, usually in pairs, and most were stopped without getting a chance to bite me and my fellow defender. After a half-minute pause, a few skulks and a fade break up the party, and we lose that RN for good. Then we slapped around the marine who admitted to doing the whole thing with a parasite.

Played a game just yesterday, on ns_caged, as squad 5, where we failed a reloc to double res and everyone was dead except the comm. The aliens decided they would rather draw the game out so they could get pwnos or whatever and play around with us, so they let the comm build IPs at the marine start. After everyone spawned in, we all rushed the aliens' only hive in Generator with just our trusty LMGs(and a fair bit of medspam <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'> ) and took it down before they could muster a defense.

2.0 game on caged. I join and see we had a pg up and some turrets in the corner in pumping station just outside of sewer. Comm drops me jp/sg and gives me a wp there. There were 2-3 ha battling against waves of skulks coming from sewer. I lift off and proceed to kill some 32 skulks in about 2:30-3 minutes, with the ha going in and out the pg (not shooting). Took only 2 or 3 medpacks :|. After that a lone ha succeeds on building 2 sieges and we proceed destroying the hive. Game ends.

Oh yes I can! I hit a blinking fade in mid-air, and he was circling the room, not going straight at me!
He didn't die from that though. But he ran out of energy a short while later, and landed before getting up to blink out again. Too bad he landed on a mine <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'>
