Details are a bit sketchy from the lack of sleep and rampant drinking over the weekend but... during the week I managed to play a game where I manage to earn the coveted Squad 5 reference. I spawned into uhhh.... OK I on't know the name... Its the map with Biodome and Furnace Hives.... OK I spawn in, marine spawn is empty save for the CC, an IP or two and the armory. I ignore the armory and run to Laser Drilling toot sweet to get the node there the Comm told me to get. On the way see a skulk running about and promptly blast him. Down to 1.5 clips of LMG. Get to laser drilling and start putting it up by myself. Another skulk comes speeding around the corner and I manage to nail him. 1 Clip of LMG ammo left. I finish the rez node and standy in laser waiting for orders. 2 more skulks come charging at me. I finish off both of them, Now I have no LMG ammo and 13 pistol rounds left. I get the WP to double rez. I start running and a skulks turn the corner in front of me and head in the same direction but doesnt see me. One more skulk down, 5 shots left for my pistol. I get to double and help build the TF. Only to have my teammate (the one with ammo left...) get eaten by a skulk. 5 shots later the wounded skulk and the wounded me are facing off. He's got the bite, I got the knife left. He jumps right at me and I manage to kill him off. With 12 health left, no ammo, and no armor. We secure double rez and proceed to make life miserable for the alien. I promptly fall down that hole in double rez and die....
On the map ns_nothing we had relocated to cargo hive and I was in a squad with 4 of my fellow marines, the commander had given us full armor upgrades and full weapons upgrades. When the commander began passing out heavy armors, everyone in my group got one besides me, but I didn't mind, cause a fully upgraded light still packed a punch, plus I was traveling with 4 heavies. I became somewhat of a squad leader, and we began to make our way around the hallways to take back the res tower in marine spawn. My squad was defending miazmia walkway at the time. There was one Onos in front of us, running out, drawing fire, and hiding to heal, while his other Onos buddy tried to flank us. I was near the back of the squad building the res tower, when I heard the Onos running toward us. <!--emo&::onos::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tiny.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tiny.gif'><!--endemo--> I told my squad to turn around and give him a little surprise as soon as he turned the corner. Sure enough, the Onos turned the corner and found himself staring down 4 HMGs and my LMG. He found himself going from 500 to 0 HP before he could run away. <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif'><!--endemo--> In the confusion, one of the heavy armors backed up toward the railing above miazmia and the first Onos that was still in front of us trying to draw the fire, jumped up and swallowed him. We all heard the all to familliar Devower attack, and turned around to see one less heavy in our squad, and a fat Onos running away chuckling. I was the first to leap over the railing to presue him as I told my squad to take that Onos down. Thankfully they did not abandon their light armor friend, and followed me as we heard the Onos running into marine start, where the footsteps stopped. The remaining 3 heavies and I charged into marine start, to find 3 offence chambers, a defence chamber, and our friend the Onos. <!--emo&::onos::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tiny.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tiny.gif'><!--endemo--> We concentraited fire on the Onos first to try to rescue our helpless comrade. Within seconds the Onos let out it's dying breath, and the 4th heavy of our squad emerged from the mess. Our commander quickly droped medpacks for him and we elimiated the remaining chambers. We then secured the marine start RT as we origonally set out to do, and as the commander electrified the RT,we all received our promotion to Squad 5. <!--emo&::marine::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/marine.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='marine.gif'><!--endemo--> Afterward my squad met up with the remaining marines, most of which were heavies, and plowed through the two remaining hives without taking another causuality.
ns nancy. 1.04 I stand bevor the door of first room on the right side, dunno the name. door was open. you know, during the 1.04 times, it was quite a big adventure to meet an onos <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->. and a great and terrbile adventure, if u re standing all on your own with empty magazine at the door, and hear the onos coming nearer, and nearer... My view went a little bit left, i saw the switch of the door. i pressed use. adrenalin got higher and higher with the sound of the door preparing to close.. mmmmmmmMMBNNGG and a lonesome scream in the floor.
it took me hmm some days to understand that i did not die...
the second, again, 1.04 nothing
late game. 3 hives. reloacted near via. the team didnt do anyting important anymore, they gave up already, the knowledge, that they will lose the next fight against the onos wasnt good for their moral. diffucult too imagine, but most of the players have never seen an onos laying on the ground at that time. the reloc posi was at the cross between via and ps, at the rt and the small stairs. but I, I did not want to give up. I gave out 2 hmgs, got out of the command chair, and started to organize the team. I told them to stand still, to stand still and not to move and run from one corner to the other. i told every one the position he had to go. and we waited. not long, again, the noise was heard, an onos makes when he come to destroy. a way of 3 or 4 meteres, before he would reach our line of defense. and then, i had the honor to see the effect, when 7 people start firing at one at the same second.. incredible. onos down. great emotions <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> the same game again, the next onos died in the sameway. it took a quite long time till the attackers start to notice that they cant finish the game with an onos this time. 2 oni come. 2 fall. all the time, I screamed orders in my headset, keeped the guys calm, the weapons loaded. but it everything has it's end... a lerk, umbraing, 1 fade, 2oni marched to moskau, aerm, our base. the defense breaks, running rines in the chaos of slimey creatures and green and yellow fog. these marines, who were still alive, keeped firing, but there was no chance to sucseed in this situation. my lmg got empty, i wanted to pull out my pistole to fire them in the onos's back... but.. a welder... I runned towards the onos, kneed down, and started burning his ****. 2 secs, 3, 4 , a scream, first down. The fade started running towards me. The marine next to me shoots a shotgun chell, directly in his chest, the next scream. 1 more onos left, knocking at our armory. pulled the knive out, and no 10 secs after I welded the first one to death, the next and last scream was heard?.

i have a pistol, empty lmg, and a jetpack. i cant remember whatwas the map, its the one with the big outside area. i was chilling right outside, and i was attacked by a flock of lerks. so i started tapping my jump key, flying around, i spent 15-16 rounds on the first 2 lerks and nothing happened, i landed because my jp needed recharge, and then i get hit my a spore thing, and theres spikes getting shot, so i drop my lmg, and they thought i died! so i walked out of the spores and sniper pistoled two of them as they flew away. so the third mofo turns around, shoots one of the damn umbrella clouds, lands in it, and i waste my last pistol clip on air.... down to meh knife, i flew upwards at the same time as him and just knifed the bugger in the stomach until he died.... and then the jp ran out and i fell down and died and that music played when your team had lost.
knifed 4 skulks in a row, come round a corner into 2 retreating skulks that were badly chewed up by a ha+shotty and knifed them. then come round the corner into a badly chewed up onos.
No, i didnt kill the onos.

my BEST EVER NS moment (forget map name, has waste handling, sat comm, fusion hive) i was aliens. for most of the game it was just skulks vs lmg, and we seemed like we were winning, we eventually got 3 hives and most of the res around the map
Then suddenly... "HA INC SAT COMM EVERYONE ATTACK NOW" rines did a massive HA rush. the whole 12 man HA team moved up to Sat Comm first and took it down easily. the aliens all got slaughtered and losts an onos and a fade or two. the rines started building up phase, tf, turrets ect at Sat Comm while all the aliens keep attacking them. the rines secured the hive and then start moving up to fusion. "oh no were all dead" we try and hold off the HA train with 2 oni and skulks but they keep moving forward. desperately we try and defend the hive after losing most of our fades and oni.
Then one skulk looks at rine spawn..."RINE SPAWN IS DEFENCELESS" the two onos stop defending Fusion and run to rine spawn assisted now with a lerk umbra and a fade. all the skulks try and hold Fusion from the 12 HA train but we go down fast. the oni, fades and lerks group up outside rine spawn.
Then things start to brighten up. "get ready everyone we can still win this"....THEN...Fusion hive goes down...
NOOOOOOOOO...
our oni without stomp and lerks without umbra were thinking now were dead. FOR GONDOR. CHAARRRGEEEEE!!!!!! the attack on rine spawn begins. for about 30 seconds we were able to destroy a couple of buildings but then the HA train got a phase up and were beginning to phase in
our remaining skulks all rushed the HA train on the spot. half the HAs were phasing right next to oni, while the other HAs were still with the group moving up to Waste.
the aliens attacking rine spawn began taking out the phase gate and all the important buildings. "YES WE'VE WON" we were all thinking....
But with about 5 HAs still alive on the train they all rushed Waste...most of the team was at rine spawn and the few people that were spawning got killed instantly. most of the alien team was already dead and we couldnt hold off the remaining HAs and it just a few seconds it was gone.... <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo-->
several members of the team started falling... we were all slowly dying...
then a gorge managed to put but up fusion because the rines didnt set it up...
HURRAY. the surviving aliens all attacked rine spawn together and took out all the ips and comm chair without even a fully finished hive
BUT
there were still 3 HAs at waste setting up a cc and ips. half the alien team was now dead with a half finished hive. we all ran in, a few skulks, a gorge, and the last onos...
after a long +60 minute game...the final battle was at hand. the onos running in first with the skulks and gorge behind him. CHAAARGGGEEE!!! FOR THE SHIRE!!!!! the 3 HAs stopped building and looked up at the final wave of resistance raging at them. they opened fire. several skulks fell but the onos managed to make enough ground to begin to fight back. with just about 3 skulks left each taking on a HA. they had no comm and couldnt drop any more ammo and medpacks. with The Final Battle nearing its end, both species as desperate as the other to survive...

with a half finished hive and just a handfull of aliens surviving the remaining HAs were killed before they could set up ips.
THE BEST OF NATURAL SELECTION EVER. we all stayed in rr just chatting about the match for at least 5 minutes. so many times we thought we were dead and for a couple of seconds we KNEW we were dead when our hive was down.
its moments like these that can light up your day and even bring a tear to the eye

Our base was destroyed, there were 5 of us left, all ha battling their last hive. We ran out of ammo and the fade and skulks were wearing us down. The skulks kept getting welded, but by the time I welded the fade to death I was the only one left. I had around 20 hp and not much armor. The hive was almost dead (from our frantic shooting/welding) and I managed to kill it w/ my welder before another skulk spawned. I heard the life saving beeping of the aliens having no hive, however there were 2 people left, and they were gorges who put up another hive... gg. (1.04, my most memorable game, over 3 hrs, ns_eclipse)
There were these 2 fades attacking about 5 of us lmgers, then they started retreating. They were about to go around the corner out of sight when I pulled out my pistol and emptied my clip, killing them both with my last bullet <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->. There were 3 onos, a fade, a gorge, and some skulks in our base, finishing off our ips when I spawned. There were 2 guys behind the comm chair (with lmg) shooting at the onoses, and when I spawned I was instantly hit and flew up into the air over the onos that hit me. While I was flying over I unloaded my whole lmg clip into him, and then I landed next to it, flipped out my knife, and slit his stomach wide open. Then I was completely ripped apart by the rest of the aliens, but I didn't care <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->.

NS_Lost, it was in the main base and my team had lost the ip's and I was the only one left on our whole team, I quickly jumped in the comm chair and dropped 3 Ip's, and got to building them. I was almost done when a *supposedly* Teched up onos runs into the base *We had earlier whiped out 2/3 hives and alot of stuff so they were in a tight position too, so I was surprised to see an Onos* I quickly whipped out my shotty and ran right at it. I was yelling like a madman into my voicecomm and my team was cheering me on. I got 3 good shots into the Onos and at the last minute, I dodged to the right. I ran on the inside track pummeling it in the side and Im guessing it was at low health when I heard the *click click* and I looked at my Ammo and noticed I had NO ammo left, so I whipped out my trusty Mr.Stabby *Personal knife name* and kept running in the same fashion. Suffice to say the Onos died. I went back to building the Ip's when a Skult ran in. Again, I was quite annoyed. And just to let you know, our base got worked just 30 seconds ago, so there were Lmg's dotted all over the place. I just ran around picking up half empty lmg's and pummeled the Skulk. This happened 2 times after. Ran in and had a long hard campain again, seeing as how the game had practicly restarted when it came to money/tech. We eventualy won after defending RT outposts. Annoyingly the Aliens held the game on for about an extra 40 minutes. But they never gained an inch for the fight to their hives. I commend each of the players that were in that game on my side, there were alot of good ones in there. Note: The total round was about 2 hours and 30 minutes total, and EVERY moment of it was intense combat. If corpses were allowed to stick around, you'd have to take detours to get by some of the Marine and Skulk mounds that dotted the maps <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
Being gored by an onos on the Hera res/landing pad, flying into the air and looking down to see lots and lots and lots of black... And then hearing "You're squad 5!" just before I go splat.
I stood in Equalibriem hive, 2 onos at the top, 2 at the bottom, and fades no far behind. I'm not alone; 4 other marines are trying to deal with the impending doom. Suddenly, I get **** off. "Chase that thing" I shout, over the voice comm, as I charge to my apparent doom against the Onos that just began it's get away.
Near by, I hear the pounding fire of my team mates shot gun - 2 shots are fired, before a fade attacks from behind. I grab his gun, and await the second pass. "Alright, you ****... Come out", I think, knowing he's been damaged, but also knowing there is an LMG marine aroudn the corner.
I hear teh famillier "hummmm" sound, as he tries to blink toward me, and I close my eyes while clenching my teeth, taking the shot.
When all is said and done, his lifeless husk lays crumpled, motionless on the floor, so I run back. I feel great, but it's not over...
"Tromp... tromp... tromp..." - The Onos only heard one set of bullets, so he knows there can only be one marine. "Um, guys, get over here!", I start to panic. Luckily, this is a team of Squad 5'ers, and they all concentrait their ledded wrath upon the beast that would attempt to defile me with that ugly horn.
He turns, but he knows the truth; The LMGs would be harmless, but he now has a **** off Shotgunner taking aim. He falls, and I get credit.
Another Onos turns the corner, presumably to aid his fallen commrade, but upon relizing it's too late to help him, he stomps, and turns tale. I can;t move for 2 seconds, but soon, I think, he won't be moving either. My squad mates accept my silent request, spoken only by the direction I run in - There is a wounded onos running away, and I intend to finish the job.
Onos 2 falls at my hand, and I run back to Equal, knowing that there are 2 Oni that might be distressed.
"Whimsy", crackles the comm. "That's really -u--i-- good!" "I REALLY love this gun, comm!", and with that, I jump down. "Ok, guys, lets finish the job!" Some laugh, but now I mean business - I want to see them pay for killing my buddy.
Long story short, I was credited with 3 Oni and one Fade before I died (Although I really owe it to one of the best, co-operative teams I had ever played with). And after that, the comm said "Whimsy, come back to base so I can give you your gun back". I felt really **** good for that, and learned not to fear the Onos as much as others do.

ok i really have to post this one. happened to me half an hour ago. ns_veil 3 hives and all marines are in the base trying to defend the ips. ok the aliens had about 4 onos 2 fades and 2 gorges. we had no heavys, hmgs,shottys, etc left. BUT we had an observatory. yeeha. only the comm is left and the onos start destroying the cc. he triggers emergency respawn and all of us come back into game at the upper floor of the marine base. my teammates are screaming shoot the left onos. everyone aims for him and brings him down. next onos going down. one of the fades wants to come up to kill us but somehow we kill him. the other fade flees. the remaining onos tries to get out but some of our rines jump into his way and kill him. so we had defeated them. well... for about 15 secs, cause then they started to send us some exploding skulkpresents. but the victory was definately ours after killing all of the higher lifeforms. all ppl were standing in the readyroom afterwards laughing how we managed it to do that

Last week, I did something that only happens in exaggerated (sp?) war stories or fantasies. It was that one map with Cargo, Alpha, and Equil hives. It was my second game in a row as a marine, and the one before it was depressingly short. I figured the comm was just a little new to it, so when he jumped into the comm chair the next game, I thought I'd help him out a bit after we got our base set up, and after we stood around for a few minutes. I rambo. After reaching a node and screaming at the commander for a couple minutes, we eject him, and someone else gets in. He actually knows a bit about what commanding, and drops a res tower for me, and two more as I made my way towards Alpha hive. After I finish building that last res node, our base comes under heavy attack. Stranded, I start running back to our spawn, hoping to kill a couple skulks before we lose.
I do a bit more than that. I kill the only 3 remaining skulks(the battle was going for a while), who were attacking the comm chair. I pick up a shotgun that the commander dropped earlier, and jump into the CC. I quickly throw down an IP, and use the shotgun to fend off a couple more skulks. We start spawning in, and before you know it we've got a decent base going. I really didn't want to command, but they pretty much forced me to.
So the aliens (who luckily were pretty crummy) leave our 3 res nodes untouched for about 5 minutes, allowing us to get a good heavy train going. We smite them. I get my first commanding victory. There is much rejoicing.
Lemme mention a game i had today on eclipse. our team was pretty much lacking skill and we werent getting anywhere, no res nodes etc. so comm decides to sell most of base and shotty rush the fuckas. he told is to IGNORE EVERYTHING ON WAY TO HIVE anyway we were lucky not to have run into fades and stuff like that ^^ well hive down, base pretty much down too, comm tells us to move on to computer core. being somewhat led by me (well, someone had to show these infidels the way) we took it down and heard the bling-bling of no alien hive. but then, they put maint up! we had maybe 4 rines left but we took down maint too, and battling our way through offense chambers and skulks (most around cc) with nothing but a couple of lvl0 shotgunners working together like that was pretty amazing ^^
Marine Spawn was going down, getting torn apart by skulks, I had a squad following me made of 1 Shotty LA, 1 HMG HA and 1 Shotty HA. I had a shotty with LA. We we're hunting an onos that had opened the base for the skulks. We got turned around at double and ended up at Gen, which was empty. Then the onos hit us, the shotty HA almost died but we drove him away down the red lit hallway to aux gen. The hallway has support pillars that marines can hide behind. I told my squad to hide behind pillars, and I went into aux gen to flush out the onos, I shot him with my pistol and ran. He followed me onto the hallway and i fired at him with my shotty. I ran around the corner into gen and poked my head out, he was still coming, at which time I yelled over the voice comm and my marines started pounding him, I ran out and started emptying my shotty, he turned around and almost killed one of my lights, but I jumped in and shot him in the side, by now the onos was really hurt and just ran around trying to gore people and almost ate my hmg HA. Now he just started to run twords aux gen, but I ran in front of him and shot him right in the face, which finally killed the ****ing thing, the comm was ecstatic, and by that time the base had been rebuilt. The comm said " those two up front have balls of steel, C&H, bring them all back to base, i have a job for you." I brought my men to base and was awarded squad 5, my comm gave me my own squad to command, we took down 2 fades in defence of the base, i was killed with an acid rocket about 30 minutes later, after that all h*** broke loose, my squad didnt have a chance against the 5 fade assualt, the base was killed 5 minutes later.

ok, so setting is the map with sewer generator and ventilation hives
Marines are outnumbered and out skilled, skulks rush our base , most die, me an 2 rines are left over.....Allegedly the guy i was with had dropped a cc into their 1 and only hive, sewer. Magically, it landed in one of those tubes that spill out the stuff into that pool at the bottom. So anyways, it sinks for a while, and sticks right near the bottom. Well the aliens have no idea. So i go make a huge scene, and then hop into the cc, so aliens come after me, and after te guy builds it, i give him a quick ip. He builds it and one more he put down, then an armory. Once we all spawn, we gather around the hive, with as many shotties as possible, and we open fire, killing the hive, and winning the game, with no res, and a stuck cc after our main one is killed.

My view went a little bit left, i saw the switch of the door. i pressed use. adrenalin got higher and higher with the sound of the door preparing to close.. mmmmmmmMMBNNGG and a lonesome scream in the floor.
it took me hmm some days to understand that i did not die...
the second, again, 1.04 nothing
late game. 3 hives. reloacted near via.
the team didnt do anyting important anymore, they gave up already, the knowledge, that they will lose the next fight against the onos wasnt good for their moral.
diffucult too imagine, but most of the players have never seen an onos laying on the ground at that time.
the reloc posi was at the cross between via and ps, at the rt and the small stairs.
but I, I did not want to give up. I gave out 2 hmgs, got out of the command chair, and started to organize the team.
I told them to stand still, to stand still and not to move and run from one corner to the other.
i told every one the position he had to go. and we waited. not long, again, the noise was heard, an onos makes when he come to destroy.
a way of 3 or 4 meteres, before he would reach our line of defense.
and then, i had the honor to see the effect, when 7 people start firing at one at the same second..

the same game again, the next onos died in the sameway.
it took a quite long time till the attackers start to notice that they cant finish the game with an onos this time.
2 oni come.
2 fall.
all the time, I screamed orders in my headset, keeped the guys calm, the weapons loaded.
but it everything has it's end...
a lerk, umbraing, 1 fade, 2oni marched to moskau, aerm, our base.
the defense breaks, running rines in the chaos of slimey creatures and green and yellow fog.
these marines, who were still alive, keeped firing, but there was no chance to sucseed in this situation.
my lmg got empty, i wanted to pull out my pistole to fire them in the onos's back... but.. a welder...
I runned towards the onos, kneed down, and started burning his ****. 2 secs, 3, 4 , a scream, first down.
The fade started running towards me. The marine next to me shoots a shotgun chell, directly in his chest, the next scream.
1 more onos left, knocking at our armory. pulled the knive out, and no 10 secs after I welded the first one to death, the next and last scream was heard?.

i have a pistol, empty lmg, and a jetpack. i cant remember whatwas the map, its the one with the big outside area. i was chilling right outside, and i was attacked by a flock of lerks. so i started tapping my jump key, flying around, i spent 15-16 rounds on the first 2 lerks and nothing happened, i landed because my jp needed recharge, and then i get hit my a spore thing, and theres spikes getting shot, so i drop my lmg, and they thought i died! so i walked out of the spores and sniper pistoled two of them as they flew away. so the third mofo turns around, shoots one of the damn umbrella clouds, lands in it, and i waste my last pistol clip on air.... down to meh knife, i flew upwards at the same time as him and just knifed the bugger in the stomach until he died.... and then the jp ran out and i fell down and died and that music played when your team had lost.
No, i didnt kill the onos.

(forget map name, has waste handling, sat comm, fusion hive) i was aliens. for most of the game it was just skulks vs lmg, and we seemed like we were winning, we eventually got 3 hives and most of the res around the map
Then suddenly... "HA INC SAT COMM EVERYONE ATTACK NOW" rines did a massive HA rush. the whole 12 man HA team moved up to Sat Comm first and took it down easily. the aliens all got slaughtered and losts an onos and a fade or two. the rines started building up phase, tf, turrets ect at Sat Comm while all the aliens keep attacking them. the rines secured the hive and then start moving up to fusion. "oh no were all dead" we try and hold off the HA train with 2 oni and skulks but they keep moving forward. desperately we try and defend the hive after losing most of our fades and oni.
Then one skulk looks at rine spawn..."RINE SPAWN IS DEFENCELESS" the two onos stop defending Fusion and run to rine spawn assisted now with a lerk umbra and a fade. all the skulks try and hold Fusion from the 12 HA train but we go down fast. the oni, fades and lerks group up outside rine spawn.
Then things start to brighten up. "get ready everyone we can still win this"....THEN...Fusion hive goes down...
NOOOOOOOOO...
our oni without stomp and lerks without umbra were thinking now were dead. FOR GONDOR. CHAARRRGEEEEE!!!!!! the attack on rine spawn begins. for about 30 seconds we were able to destroy a couple of buildings but then the HA train got a phase up and were beginning to phase in
our remaining skulks all rushed the HA train on the spot. half the HAs were phasing right next to oni, while the other HAs were still with the group moving up to Waste.
the aliens attacking rine spawn began taking out the phase gate and all the important buildings. "YES WE'VE WON" we were all thinking....
But with about 5 HAs still alive on the train they all rushed Waste...most of the team was at rine spawn and the few people that were spawning got killed instantly. most of the alien team was already dead and we couldnt hold off the remaining HAs and it just a few seconds it was gone.... <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo-->

then a gorge managed to put but up fusion because the rines didnt set it up...
HURRAY. the surviving aliens all attacked rine spawn together and took out all the ips and comm chair without even a fully finished hive
BUT
there were still 3 HAs at waste setting up a cc and ips. half the alien team was now dead with a half finished hive. we all ran in, a few skulks, a gorge, and the last onos...

after a long +60 minute game...the final battle was at hand. the onos running in first with the skulks and gorge behind him. CHAAARGGGEEE!!! FOR THE SHIRE!!!!! the 3 HAs stopped building and looked up at the final wave of resistance raging at them. they opened fire. several skulks fell but the onos managed to make enough ground to begin to fight back. with just about 3 skulks left each taking on a HA. they had no comm and couldnt drop any more ammo and medpacks. with The Final Battle nearing its end, both species as desperate as the other to survive...

with a half finished hive and just a handfull of aliens surviving the remaining HAs were killed before they could set up ips.
THE BEST OF NATURAL SELECTION EVER. we all stayed in rr just chatting about the match for at least 5 minutes. so many times we thought we were dead and for a couple of seconds we KNEW we were dead when our hive was down.
its moments like these that can light up your day and even bring a tear to the eye

There were these 2 fades attacking about 5 of us lmgers, then they started retreating. They were about to go around the corner out of sight when I pulled out my pistol and emptied my clip, killing them both with my last bullet <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->. There were 3 onos, a fade, a gorge, and some skulks in our base, finishing off our ips when I spawned. There were 2 guys behind the comm chair (with lmg) shooting at the onoses, and when I spawned I was instantly hit and flew up into the air over the onos that hit me. While I was flying over I unloaded my whole lmg clip into him, and then I landed next to it, flipped out my knife, and slit his stomach wide open. Then I was completely ripped apart by the rest of the aliens, but I didn't care <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->.

Happy to say, we mustered our forces together. Ran in and had a long hard campain again, seeing as how the game had practicly restarted when it came to money/tech.
We eventualy won after defending RT outposts.
Annoyingly the Aliens held the game on for about an extra 40 minutes. But they never gained an inch for the fight to their hives. I commend each of the players that were in that game on my side, there were alot of good ones in there.
Note: The total round was about 2 hours and 30 minutes total, and EVERY moment of it was intense combat. If corpses were allowed to stick around, you'd have to take detours to get by some of the Marine and Skulk mounds that dotted the maps <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
Being gored by an onos on the Hera res/landing pad, flying into the air and looking down to see lots and lots and lots of black... And then hearing "You're squad 5!" just before I go splat.
Near by, I hear the pounding fire of my team mates shot gun - 2 shots are fired, before a fade attacks from behind. I grab his gun, and await the second pass. "Alright, you ****... Come out", I think, knowing he's been damaged, but also knowing there is an LMG marine aroudn the corner.
I hear teh famillier "hummmm" sound, as he tries to blink toward me, and I close my eyes while clenching my teeth, taking the shot.
When all is said and done, his lifeless husk lays crumpled, motionless on the floor, so I run back. I feel great, but it's not over...
"Tromp... tromp... tromp..." - The Onos only heard one set of bullets, so he knows there can only be one marine. "Um, guys, get over here!", I start to panic. Luckily, this is a team of Squad 5'ers, and they all concentrait their ledded wrath upon the beast that would attempt to defile me with that ugly horn.
He turns, but he knows the truth; The LMGs would be harmless, but he now has a **** off Shotgunner taking aim. He falls, and I get credit.
Another Onos turns the corner, presumably to aid his fallen commrade, but upon relizing it's too late to help him, he stomps, and turns tale. I can;t move for 2 seconds, but soon, I think, he won't be moving either. My squad mates accept my silent request, spoken only by the direction I run in - There is a wounded onos running away, and I intend to finish the job.
Onos 2 falls at my hand, and I run back to Equal, knowing that there are 2 Oni that might be distressed.
"Whimsy", crackles the comm. "That's really -u--i-- good!"
"I REALLY love this gun, comm!", and with that, I jump down. "Ok, guys, lets finish the job!"
Some laugh, but now I mean business - I want to see them pay for killing my buddy.
Long story short, I was credited with 3 Oni and one Fade before I died (Although I really owe it to one of the best, co-operative teams I had ever played with). And after that, the comm said "Whimsy, come back to base so I can give you your gun back". I felt really **** good for that, and learned not to fear the Onos as much as others do.

I do a bit more than that. I kill the only 3 remaining skulks(the battle was going for a while), who were attacking the comm chair. So i go make a huge scene, and then hop into the cc, so aliens come after me, and after te guy builds it, i give him a quick ip. He builds it and one more he put down, then an armory. Once we all spawn, we gather around the hive, with as many shotties as possible, and we open fire, killing the hive, and winning the game, with no res, and a stuck cc after our main one is killed.
