Have tried everything....
Since yesterday I work on a hellskulk. I added some horns, but ingame they look not smoothed, you can see the faces and wrong lightning (Only at the horns, rest of skulk looks good). I tried several smoothing group assignments and all the stuff I can think of. If someone is willing to help and have a look at it, please let me send it to you. It is in ms3d format, I'll send it with all the stuff needed to compile. Please help me

I sense pack Jin Roh vs. Hell!
But this needs to be fixed, first. Vash will continue skinning the lmg, so meanwhile I will do some fitting aliens ^^

BTW: The model looks fine in ms3d and HLMV...

I don't really want to know if you want to smooth the spikes....they look more sharp at the tip not smoothed and TBH it looks fine (IMO)

But all it needs are more spikes at the back, right now the spikes look like hair....:/

*bump*

Problem is, ingame you will notice many shading glitches on it, making it look bad. Please help me

This is the ms3d and the textures, but you need a decompiled skulk as base for animations. Also, the level1.bmp from the original skulk is needed, I won't posted the edited cause it is too big and just a recolour. And yes, if you tell me how to make it smooth ingame there will be more spikes.

Do you have any transparent textures around the head/face? I found this problem while doing a grunt replacement on the orignal Hl grunt. And on the visor marine (Note when the marine has a JP it goes flat shaded )

There is a glowing/additive texture in front of the eyes. But I have the same on the Onos, and there nothing is wrong. BTW: the ms3d's smoothing groups are perhaps crappy set, but I swear I tried everything before.

Select all vertices.
Weld them.
Enjoy.

I did this. Several times. Didn't. Did it work for you ingame?

Revolver yes the flat shaded m4. I also tried on cs models with goggles same thing happened to A model yet i did it to all of them.

I think its something to do with transparency not likeing sub models.
• ObstObst Join Date: 2003-03-12 Member: 14436Members, Constellation
But I don't use any submodels in the skulk. And Daza: I had a problem with my LA Jin Roh's face, suddenly it looked unwelded. But after welding the right parts (moving mouth parts seperate) and assigning new smoothing groups it worked
